Neymar with 4 goals vs Japan. Should have bagged 2 vs Argentina, taking it out on Japan.

Goals from Neymar and Messi. Masche continue to have a good game this year.

Neymar had 2 goals and 1 assist. Messi scored a PK and also gave the pass for the PK to Aguero.

Neymar actually had a bad game. Specially in the first half. Tried too many tricks and lost the ball repeatedly. I feel like he is constrained at Barca and when he gets to Brazil he tries to over do it. Unfortunately his tricks don't work most of the time. 2nd goal was nice though. He also has 42 goals in 59 international games which is crazy good for being just 22. He could surpass Pele' by the time he is done.

Didn't watch Argentina play so don't know how Messi did overall.

Messi had a decent game, not bad but not outstanding either. He made some good run and created good chances but Aguero and even Tevez were just wastefull. Barcelona and Brazil has totally different style of play so comparing Neymar contribution for the two teams is irrelavant to me. He was given more freedom in Brazil and the attacking approach is vastly different from Barcelona.

Even though I support Argentina, I hope Neymar did turn into good player for Brazil and didnt end up like Ronaldinho or Adriano. They declined when they supposed to be at their peak. I think Adriano at one point has 19 goals in 20 games.

It's amazing how wasteful Aguero is for Argentina considering how well he does for Man City. I saw he missed a couple of pretty easy chances today.

I know the styles are completely different and I like that he has more freedom, but like I said he over does it. I am not saying he should have more freedom at Barca because I just don't think he is good enough yet (or might never be good enough from that point of view).

Thought I'd come here for some insight on the Arg-Por international but crickets (I'm too busy today to watch it live), scoreless at the half but Arg with 68% possession, and 6 shots (2 on goal) verse 32%, 2 shots, none on goal. Germany-Spain also scoreless but more balanced possession and shots.

Argentina has been predictably the better side. Messi hit the post early on with a shot from almost no angle. But not much else from him. Sad to see him not being able to pull of from the players on the dribble as he used to.

Messi was subbed at the half time. Which is good.

Incredible fight back by Paraguay! Finished 2-2.
Messi made a great run when it was 2-1 but his shot went wide of right post.

Great comeback by Paraguay but I wonder how much of it was due to Tata being inept(?) :whistling:

Messi was definitely in his usual Barca form though. Could have had about 2 goals and 3 assists with a slice of luck.

My opinion of MATS will never change , He is shit and Bravo is a million times better than him and deserves to be our main GK for all competitions to keep consistency instead of the retarded 1 GK for each tournament.

we were lucky our defense kept our opponent in their areas because he is shaky as **** , whenever the ball goes near him i put my hand on my chest and think " OH SHIIIIT " and i don't want to feel that way anymore , Valdes did that for me for so many years and my heart just can't take it anymore .....

This is an unfair judgement when your team is getting outplayed. Buffon did all he could in Euro 2012 final and recent CL final but at the end he conceided many.
