I still have that pair haha. Most of the Mexican national team was rocking the silver storm pack.

 

The turf was so hot it probably dried out in less than 10 minutes.

 

Majority of the US Women's players are in the Nike WWC Pack and a couple of the England Women's players are in the silver storm pack. Photos later.

I know some people aren't big fans of Soccer Bible, but this is quite a good article showing how David Villa has similar spec X15.1 boots as Schweinsteiger. Will be interesting if, like Nike, Adidas see themselves customising X15 boots without the techfit collar

Look at the main picture with the boots on the shelves. Is the forefoot totally different too? Leather?

 

Typical of today's boot manufactures, giving the pros boots that are significantly different than the retail version.

 

They're not customised are they? I think they're just the standard leather version.

Which if is the case makes the article completely false.

 

That's what I thought as well. Schweinsteiger's are definitely F50s with an X color up, but Villa's look like standard leather Xs, to me anyway.

 

Yeah, the leather X has the forefoot stitching and no TechFit collar, same as Villas. SB missed the mark on this one:

Yes, and if you zoom in on Schweinsteiger's you can even see the seam where the leather transitions to speedfoil. It's like the Nitrocharge color up adidas did for Alves' F50s when he was a lead athlete for the silo...
