Who has the rights in the uk next year? Thats crazy that sky doesnt. Any chance Kurt menefee will still be doing a great job at the half? Im kidding. Credit to fox for using quality commentators. Last year i watched in spanish to avoid gujo.

Maybe Tyler will go in to the English language commentary pool next season. FOX US doesn't hire/assign anyone specifically for most matches, they just use the English feed with their own pre/half/post hosts.

If I were Vegas the odds off the board of Martin Tyler and Alexi lalas being Fox No.1 soccer commentator in 2018.

Well the reason why Gus Johnson did not do group stage games was he had college football to call and you have to pay to fly him out every time. With MT and GN or others it's just a short train Ride or flight away to the game

FOX is just using the Sky Sports commentary feed for this match as Martin Tyler and Alan Smith is commentating the match for Sky.

I bet FOX will use an American with Lalas for US matches. Then pair overseas voices with other analysts for non-US matches.

Audio went from great all encompassing 5.1 surround sound during buildup and then totally dropped out to shitty stereo sound when Fox switched to Martin Tyler UK feed

I have to say the German coverage was interesting. They only use one play by play guy and he was pretty good even though I don't speak German. The studio guys were smart and informative and there was nothing stupid and they showed the whole opening ceremony. How was the fox coverage?

ESPN had Ross Dyer hosting its studio coverage with Steve Nichole, Shaka Hislop and Janusz Michallik from the ESPNFC studios using a blue themed background instead of the green

Adrian Healey and Stewart Robson were in commentary
