I think his faith to a point in Brooks and Zardes is well-placed, and many agree, if not unanimously. Wood is the one that fits your description. And lo and behold, yes, he had a good game, from the time he came on, really.

You can just pretend the ball got all the way through to Mix who probably also would have scored.

Are you serious? Its pretty clear that the game plan was to go pressure them intensely. Thats not Agudelo's game. You have obscene obsessions with certain players that clearly clouds your judgement.

Bradley is a really good string-puller. It's just unfair to ask him to basically be a withdrawn forward. He didn't have to do that today, and he gave us a tremendous game.

The Netherlands just let us win this match because they know we are taking down corrupt FIFA and they still feel jilted for their co-bid with Belgium not being accepted.

    That is my theory.

Because when people ask why he is on the roster he has to prove to them why.

The Jurgen delivered. The US team fought to the end. Holland's defense had a horrid night. They are way better than that. That said, the US subs, have Sonic the Hedgehog speed, that changed the game.

ALSO:::: Netherlands hit 2 goal posts & had at least 1 key Beckerman goal-line clearance. 4-3 was a great & entertaining game.

I have followed soccer this 1990. In the past, team USA was considered as novice, weak and few didn't take the seriously. I am surprised they beat the Netherlands, which is one of the best team in soccer. It was a friendly I care.
The 1998 Netherlands team with Kluivert, Bergkamp, Overmars, Cocu, Zenden, Frank and Ronald de Boer, Van Der Saar and others would beat them correctly. Many progresses have been made. Fighting Spirits is in DNA since childhood.
    Incredible job.
    Next to Germany.

There has to be something specific he does not see Agudelo can do to help within the realm of the team, whether it be tactically or preference? Who knows? Does that mean he will not play against Germany? Not at all. It is a bit strange, though. Still a few players I think we gave up on too early who are experienced and can read the game.

Both our fullbacks were getting abused at will. That was a key coming into this match, and frankly both failed.

ESPNFC running a story about Howard returning in September. That's a tough one for me. Guzan made one bad mistake in a league match where he specifically asked the defender NOT to give him the ball back. Nearly begged him, in fact. Ridiculous. Sort of glad to see Given give up six one week and then four again in the FA Cup Final. Guzan got screwed by Villa.

that is the key statement here, it was entertaining. Can't remember the last time I enjoyed watching a US seniors match.

Then they put fabian in.....put yedlin down the wing....Blind couldnt come up like he was because he knew he would get smoked on the counter, it completely changed the game, then Mix came on....a better player for Morales, then comes hustle boy Morris, then bam bam....game over.....Yedlin changed the entire game...

Well that was a fun one.

Our defense wasn't very good, but neither was theirs. I was really impressed with Bradley and even how Mix came in later and held down the midfield. Johannsson seemed really frustrated most of the time with a lack of service, but he wasn't all that professional with his chances.

That John Anthony Brooks goal tho... Pure class. Very good field and situation awareness to continue that run and slip it in.

I wouldnt take it too seriously, Sherwood is a blithering idiot. If he is the new coach, Guzan should either move or wait till winter break for Sherwood to be sacked.

Took the words out of my mouth. But, according to Sherwood, he "personally ensured Harry Kane would not be sold from Tottenham." Typical English know-it-all.

What? Is this a WC game? Its a friendly to evaluate players, something he's stated. The most important player to evaluate on this roster didn't get in the game. That is a terrible job by the manager.

I think he thinks he's evaluating players for the GC, but I actually think he rates players like Wood, Zardes and Morris higher than Agudelo. If thats the case, its poor talent evaluation.
