He was OK in the first half, he's a risk player

I expected Shea to be targeted, not the Chandler/Brooks right side combo.

I'm not sure that I'm AS worried as you are, but I do believe that we overrate Guzan a fair amount as fans. If we have already coronated him the starter in 2018, in 2015, I would say that's a mistake.

Skillset meaning cleanup artist who muddies up the game when needed, makes those well-timed tackles and generally is proactive in taking away shooting angles / closing down passing angles and intercepting. Bonus points if he can turn the ball into a counterattack quickly, which Beckerman did shockingly well (for his standards!!!) at WC 2014. He made me eat some of my words then.

But clearly, not a long-term answer.

Dreads is getting far too old for these scrimmages.

Though the 8 shots 5 on goal is a pretty impressive number for one half.

I saw someone seriously linking him to Manchester United as De Gea's replacement the other day. Overrated is an understatement.

Would like to see Williams and Agudelo.

Beckerman disappointing. May not see much time with USMNT from here on...

I'm still waiting to see something great from AJ in a US uniform... He doesn't seem to do much. I dunno...

Great finish by Zardes...much more difficult chance than the one he missed earlier.

Dax would be good in that role, though I've pretty much given up on the idea.

I have not given up on the idea of Kitchen taking it, though I feel that Dax is a better metronome than Perry.

Three times, even, if not for trying to let RVP walk the ball into our net.

I don't think anyone would argue that we didn't have our chances that half...

I thought the USMNT was beyond this type when Reyna went down, or so said BS.

They tried in the first half with the Depay switch, but it didn't work. We have Shea, Morales & Zardes on that side, closing things up nicely.

The right side, we got an under-par Chandler, and Fabian + Bradley building the attack.

It was a good goal, but technically the guy is still a mess. Of course, as someone else pointed out -- welcome to the USMNT attacking pool, home of the flawed. You get AJ's subpar athleticism or strength or Zardes' subpar technical ability today.

Not bad from the US. With better forwards, this US team would be winning right now.

Is this a joke? We have been damned proactive and building from the back through the midfield crating quality chances.

JK is like an amateur when he continues to value Beckerman's skills especially at international level. LOL

Actually, I think Alvarado is doing quite well. He's surprising me. He looks more footsure than Brooks.

Certainly not caught emulating a statue as much as Brooks. I don't get the love for Brooks. At all. I get that he's young, and competing at a high level, and has upside. But today's performance is pretty typical of his performance in a USMNT uni, really.
