Sad, but true. FOX has chosen to play hardball and raise rates in the middle of the contract. As expected, a lot of people "flipped their lids" when they expected to see NASCAR today. Seeing the message at the bottom of FS1 and it's easy to think that AT&T is the guilty party. --Note that this just applies to AT&T U-Verse customers. FOX has played this game before with AT&T, but it wouldn't surprise me if they attempt to play it with other providers.
Yeah surprisingly I've never had any problems expect what channels are on what package and the channels they don't have
So I guess Fox didn't even care to shove the quarterfinal replay with reading anywhere even FS+. I didn't even know it had been played until today
And not too terrible an audience, by FS2 standards FA CUP RD 6 REPLAY L FS2 -- READING/BRADFORD CITY 3:30 PM 6:00 PM -- 59k 0.0

News is a few weeks old but still interesting: http://worldsoccertalk.com/2015/03/...fox-sports-tv-coverage-beginning-next-season/
We have the WWC games Schedule http://www.si.com/planet-futbol/201...ns-world-cup-fox-broadcast-schedule-coverage# Among the schedule highlights: • Sixteen matches are scheduled to air on the main FOX channel including five in primetime. FOX will air the final weekend of matches including the first semifinal on June 30 (7 p.m. ET), the third place match on July 4 (4 p.m. ET) and the final on July 5 (7 p.m. ET). (This is great for the tournament and sport) • FOX Sports 1 will air 29 matches, including all Round of 16 matches, two quarterfinals and one semifinal (July 1). • FOX Sports 2 will air seven games. (understandable you need to market this network and there are some conflicts and the matches are not blockbuster in many ways) • Following in the footsteps of ESPN’s World Cup coverage, FOX will air a 60-minute version of FIFA Women’s World Cup Today prior to most matches. Some of the episodes will be shorter or longer depending on the time of the tournament. • The network will also have a FIFA Women’s World Cup Tonight studio show airing after matches and late nights on FOX Sports 1. • JP Dellacamera, Cat Whitehill and Tony DiCicco will announce all of the USWNT's group games. • The schedule for the United States, which is in Group D, is as follows: June 8 vs. Australia (7:30 p.m. ET/FOX Sports 1). (The game before is shown on FOX bad move to me) June 12 vs. Sweden (8 p.m. ET/FOX). June 16 vs. Nigeria (8 p.m. ET/FOX). • There will be a one-hour live Women’s World Cup preview show on June 5 on FOX Sports 1 (7:30–8:30 PM ET). • FOX said FOX Sports Go will offers three alternate streams during the tournament in addition to streaming matches and studio shows. The first stream is called Match 360, which offers backstage access to the walk from the locker room to field, pregame warm-ups, in-progress highlights and postmatch press conferences. The second feed will be a nonstop in-game view from the tactical cameras showing all 22 players. The third feed comes directly from cable-cam flying above the field during play. FOX said the Tactical Cam feed is available for 41 of the 52 matches, while the Cable Cam feed is available for 23. ( Match360 seems cool)
Also from Awful Announcing The 2014-15 Champions League hasn’t concluded quite yet and FOX is already celebrating some impressive ratings, particularly on FOX Sports 1. Compared to last year, FS1’s audience for the Champions League has grown by 40% and has seen a huge 62% increase in adults 18-49 who have tuned in to the tournament. The semifinal matches delivered some solid numbers with 704,000 viewers watching the second leg between Juventus and Real Madrid and 530,000 watching Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Both matches saw plenty of adults tuning in (479,000 and 348,000 respectively) despite the midday start times. In spite of the continual protests from Mike Francesa, the Champions League has been an important franchise for FS1 to deliver audiences of significant size during those match days. FOX is now looking ahead to the Final on June 6th, but there has been some discussion over the two finalists and what Real Madrid’s collapse will mean for the final numbers. The hype surrounding a potential El Classico between Barcelona and Real Madrid for the Champions League was pretty enticing and would have been a monster in terms of ratings, but instead FOX will hope for a big turnout for Barcalona vs. Juventus.
Any news on the commentators for the CL final? Hopefully Fox will stick with Sky not throw us a curveball with a US-based announcer who has not called any CL matches this season, but inconsistency is the one consistency with US football coverage.
I see Fox Soccer+ has dug up some classic WWC games to air on Memorial Day. Looks like they got their hands on some archive telecasts from ESPN
Good question. Thankfully, Gus Johnson came to his senses. That Menefee/Johnson thing was just terrible.
Random question: Dream Team was being shown on FSW. I never got that channel, getting FSC in 2006 or so. When the channel rebranded to Fox Soccer, it seems that's about the time episodes of Dream Team stopped being aired in the US (the series was several seasons behind when being showed in the USA.) So, the two-parted question is: How far did the series advance in the USA? When did FSW/FSC stop airing episodes?
I didn't watch Dream Team, but it was on FSC after it changed from FSW to FSC. You can read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dream_Team_(TV_series)
FYI (and to answer my own question upthread) Rob Stone noted during the FA Cup final that Martin Tyler would be calling the CL final on Fox so I assume they are pulling the Sky feed. I wouldn't be surprised to hear him in 2018 for Fox with JP doing US games. Although I like Tyler as a play-by-play guy he's somewhat clueless about non-English sides. I guess everyone can't be as good as Derek Rae, who now seems relegated to SPL on FS+.
Derek Rae works for BT sport but we hear him on fs+. Hes Scottish so hes home calling the matches of his native league. Not sure if that would classify as a relegation.
I would think that John Strong would be the leading guy to do US games in 2018. He is also the lead guy for FOX's coverage of the 2015 Gold Cup. Derek Rae works for BT Sport and is the lead commentator for the SPL and does a lot of matches for BT Sports European league coverage. FS+ uses the UK feed for the SPL.
I'm not sure what's going on here, but I'm watching FS1's of the last WWC final...ok, was... the Chuck Blazer breaking news just happened as I type this, but it looked like the image wasn't as fluid. Things were a bit jerky. It basically looked like an "NFL Films" style coverage of an NFL game. I have no idea why, as both ESPN/ABC and FS1 are 720, but I thought it was interesting to point out.
if i was John Stong i a bit pissed why Fox side he would be the lead PBP guy for soccer and JP is getting the USA games.
JP deserves it, imo. He's the first decent American soccer announcer and has a close ties to the US team (both mens and womens). On a seperate note, I hope FOX gets Jon Champion from ESPN for the 2018 WC. I have a feeling ESPN would will want to keep Ian Darke even though they don't have the WC anymore. Champion is a great announcer and does a great job of creating "big storylines" within a game. I'm not saying FOX should have him as their main announcer but I think FOX should have the best of both worlds (English and American) for their soccer coverage.
