Dammit, I just woke up (it's 9am over here now) and missed the whole game!:cry:

I take it we played badly, huh? Even without Ruso, Richie, Rafa, Punyed, AA and Darwin, we still played badly? That's just going to prove to Roca that we need the abroad players.

Btw how did Rugamas, Landaverde and Narciso perform?

Landaverde didn't have the chance to put a stamp in his game. Rugamas was NOT seen, as a matter if fact he missed a clear chance that the ref would've allowed had he not missed, though it was a hand ball on his part.

The good: Narciso, Santamaria, and the 2 CB.
The Bad: Rugamas, Xavi, Alas and the REFS!!!
Average: everyone else. Honestly, very average, no specific standouts. (I only names the starting 11)

Santamaría had a helluva game and showed his worth, and Narciso showed his class. Narciso has to go abroad, hopefully MLS. (Hopefully he takes Menjivar's spot)

The second goal looked to be 1: out of bounds and 2: offside. BS goal for me.
Also, can anyone tell me why the F*CK they took away Bonilla's goal? Valladares did NOT have a complete handle on it. It should have been 2-1 at that point.

Lastly: WHY WAS XAVI GARCIA CAPTAIN?!?! REALLY?! HE SHOULD BE NOWHERE NEAR THE FIELD FOR OUR NT AT THIS POINT

I started watching like around 75th minute the one play that pissed me off right from the start was Jaime made a pass to Santamaria around the edge of the box and was double teamed, and instead of Jaime moving forward so Kevin can pass it back to him to try and draw a defender he just stays in the same spot and to no ones surprise Kevin loses the ball.

Alas and Santamaria are all show... one and two flashy passes and thats it.. they play for each other and forget theres 9 other players on the field...!!!

For those claiming for Narciso to start.. not sure what game you guys were watching... never did he link up with Coreas.. undetected throughout the game...

Rugamas, Bonilla, Irving... down.. whos left to tryout lol... Give Puma Pena the chance.. he is our future forward, should be letting the kid grow a pair by now...

Roca's Twitter page sounds like a mountain of excuses.

Shame that Rugamas didn't perform well, considering his domestic league performance and people were wanting him to get the call up. It's probably just stage-fright. I've never been wowed by Xavi, so I'm not surprised he was mediocre. Do you think Juan Barahona, Bryan Tamacas and/or Giovanni Zavaleta can be a better replacement for Xavi's spot?

I forgot to ask about Irvin Herrera; how did he perform?

This is what I got. If you don't wanna watch, don't blame you. The heat in the field + how the team played made me sorta wish I had gone to work lol.

How where you able to get field level?

Are we ever going to see you in your videos? All these years of watching your videos and the recent hotel video was the first time I remember when you featured your voice

I have a few friends that work in the local press. Doubtful I could get cool seats outside of MD/DC to be honest. As for the other questions I've just honestly want the film to speak for itsself. No real reason for me to be in the shots or talk much. I could find a way next time to be included I suppose though.

So the Rugamas experiment ended before they even gave it a chance.

Baffling. Unless he picked up an injury, there's no reason to elect Burgos over him.

Roca reminds me of me when I was a young lad on this board if x players is abroad he is automatically better than the local league players.

Watched the whole thing. Btw you should get a job filming at DC United matches or other games held at RFK Stadium.

@Blue_nation724 I now see what you mean regarding bad referees; that goal that was not counted. It was just bad luck that Derby couldn't ultimately save the penalty. :(

2009/10-era La Trucha was that too, and he was probably worse. :ROFLMAO:

Poor Rugamas and Landaverde btw, smh.

I am really starting to believe Roca is not for us, I believe we need to get a more experienced coach to lead the rebuilding and youth process.
Rugamas just had a bad game, I believe it was stage fright (though we shouldn't give up these are what friendlies are for to get the them experience and not get these kind of stage fright in serious games).
I was shocked Xavi got the capatin armband but then again this is the coach that gave the captain armband to flores over Arturo Alvarez and Darwin Ceren.

It has been stated on more than one occasion that El Ruso was voted on by the players as captain, as to why I really have no idea.

But most are in agreement that Darwin should be captain.

I wonder why Rugamas and Landaverde are leaving. is it because of the inclusion of the abroad players? if so, thats BS. especially since it was one friendly to make their case.

@La Trucha , its those MLS refs. very difficult to deal with, knowing they barely cut it in the league. now on the international level? jokes

Roca was basically just a fitness coach at Barcelona. ES needed a coach wtih Concacaf experience, someone to develop the team like DLC did in 08'. This video sums up the hiring of Roca lol
