United States v Mexico Kickoff: ~8:45pm ET Broadcast: Fox Sports 1, UniMas Stadium: Alamodome, San Antonio, TexasHistory: (from MLSSoccer.com) The US are 17-32-14 all-time against Mexico, but 12-5-5 against their regional rivals since 2000. The sides drew their most recent meeting 2-2, with Mexico scoring twice in the second half to cancel out the US’s two-goal halftime advantage at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona last April. Chris Wondolowski and Michael Bradley scored for the US, who had a would-be late-winner disallowed when Eddie Johnson was controversially whistled offside in the 85th minute. Rafa Marquez and Alan Pulido had the goals for El Tri. Traveling roster: GOALKEEPERS (3): Bill Hamid (D.C. United), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake), William Yarbrough (Club León) DEFENDERS (7): Ventura Alvarado (Club América), Matt Besler (Sporting Kansas City), Brad Evans (Seattle Sounders), Greg Garza (Club Tijuana), Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy), Brek Shea (Orlando City), DeAndre Yedlin (Tottenham Hotspur) MIDFIELDERS (7): Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Michael Bradley (Toronto FC), Joe Corona (Club Tijuana), Mix Diskerud (New York City FC), Miguel Ibarra (Minnesota United), Perry Kitchen (D.C. United), Lee Nguyen (New England Revolution) FORWARDS (5): Juan Agudelo (New England Revolution), Julian Green (Hamburg), Jordan Morris (Stanford University), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes), Gyasi Zardes (LA Galaxy) Possible XI: Wondolowksi Agudelo - Bradley - Zardes Diskerud - Beckerman Shea - Besler - Gonzalez - Yedlin Rimando I would think this formation could work against the 3-5-2.
If JK is hurting for results which I think he is with the next two game coming up being likely losses he won't role out a traditional 4-3-3. I see a defensive lineup like a 4-1-2-1-2 with all 4 mids being more defensive in nature. And Bradley as the 10.
If that's the case then it would make sense to have Corona in the lineup, but i don't think we have the correct midfield to be able to make subs and stay with that formation. I also don't see him going full 90. I feel that we have many attacking mids and a few defensive mids, but not the kind of hybrids that usually play on the sides of a diamond. But as we all know Klinsmann is known for playing players out of their comfortable spots, so...
For some reason FS1 is listing "World Darts Championship" after the "U.S. National Team Soccer Pregame". Is anyone else seeing that?
Which service provider do you have? If you have U-verse from AT&T then I think you may not be able to see the match in English due to contract dispute.
is there a site to watch a replay of the match afterwards?....im in europe and i cant stay up to 430 am to watch this.
idk what formation or starters i want mostly, i want to see Zardes + Agudelo so i guess ......zardes.........agudelo ........ngyuen - diskerud ...............bradley .............beckerman shea - besler - omar - yedlin ..........yarborough
