Game: FC Dallas vs Colorado Rapids Date: Saturday, April 10th Time: 6:00 PM [CST] Location: Toyota Stadium, Frisco, Texas, United States of America Weather Forecast: Partly Cloudy; H 77, L 60 Competition: Major League Soccer Last 4 for Opponent: T-T-T-L Live TV: KSTR-49 UniMas Radio: KWRD 100.7 FM [English]; KFLC 1270 AM La Voz del Pueblo [Spanish] The Colorado Rapids haven't won a game since last summer, against a team that doesn't exist anymore. On top of that, they haven't scored a goal all season. Their first 3 games were 0-0 affairs, although 2 of those were away from home (one of which in our little brother's house). It's early in the season but I would say losing this game would be an absolute disaster and would sting for quite a while. To be honest, I wouldn't be too happy about us being the first team to get scored on by these shits either.
Colorado has been terrible to watch for a decade - just unwatchable kickball soccer. They improved briefly when OP was coach but have regressed mightily. I am not sure they are even playing soccer at this point. I agree - losing (or even a home tie) to these hacks with Wyatt Earp as a coach would hurt. But it looks like one goal would be an insurmountable lead against this wooden club-foot team. I hate Colorado. The state is fine - but this soccer team plays like a high school JV team. Time to get back on the winning side.
We're playing one of the worst teams in the league. Why is this game at 6pm on a Friday? To make sure as few as possible have an opportunity to see it? None of my ticket group (6 of us) except me will attend this game. They can't get to it after work from FW. I work in Denton so traffic isn't bad enough to keep me away.
You do realize that you have now pissed off the soccer gods and thereby jinxed us into that "absolute disaster"? :0
6:00 pm start time is ridiculous, is there a Liga MX game starting at 8 they absolutely have to show or something? I'll be there but only because I was already taking off work for the Rangers home opener and I'll just duck out early to cross town -_-
Leave it to MLS to sign a TV deal that puts it's regular Friday night special on Hispanic TV and forces central time zones to kick off a 6pm. If FCD get 10K it'll be a win for the FO. Diaz didn't practice much yesterday and we'll see what happens this morning. I'm telling you, there is something amiss with that kid. They're not telling us the full story.
Decided with the early kick off, and likely sparse crowds it would be a good chance to bring my two daughters to their first game (5 and 6 years old)...
Yep, I'm not going to battle the traffic on this one. College kid is coming in town, however, and if they don't mind listening to my music in the hour and 15 minutes it takes to get there, we might show up for the second half.
Why does dallas have to be the team that streaks are broken on? It really seems like that's the same story every year. Uggggggh.
For some reason the south side stands look farther back than normal. Did the field get shortened? Am I imagining things?
I'm praying for red cards for all 11 people on the field.... And 2 for Seitz. I'd be ok with a different lineup if we are going to get butt********ed this bad from a team like Colorado.
Based on our wonderful goalscoring production the last three games, anyone care to revisit any Hot Sports Opinions that they might've had on Mauro Diaz earlier this season?
I've been watching this team since '96 and that was 2003 era embarrassing. If we gave away Canes combos for giveaways, everyone would have a lifetime supply of chicken. Where the hell was Hedges? Did I miss that injury report? I don't have anything else constructive to say, all I know is that I waited in over an hour of traffic for that garbage.
In practice on Thursday, a ball ricocheted off the post and hit him hard in the noggin, so he was held out as a precaution.
