Yeah - Ozil's touch and vision are phenomenal. If it weren't for the injuries in the first half of the season and stupid draws against the likes of Hull, Leicester, and Tottenham at home, we'd be in the title race. I thought at the beginning of the season that this team would be second/third and was a year away from the title, and also that if Chelsea didn't break the league record for points that Jose should be fired. I do wonder what a team with Fabregas and Ozil at the same time could have done though.
That was a fun game to watch. The team clicked and were ruthless with their chances. Everyone played pretty well. I could use a few more games like that . It felt good to be an Arsenal fan.
Mebe, IMHO we're two players, and development of some others to the next step that their talent indicates to be a contender. While a keeper, striker and another LB would be luxury
Coq wasn't injured he just wasn't considered. Even now he's the only option we have at that position and we need another.
I wish this were the case but unfortunately I don't think it was. We were really struggling in the first half of the season. We won a few games then but now we're dominating opponents and taking away their chances to get a result on a fluky bounce.
So you want to see him play another season as our right back before you "proclaim" him our right back? I'm confused
Good point, but what I meant to say is that I want to see how other teams find new ways to attack him and see how he reacts, and that'll take some time. Fair?
I've been having a little bit of a sucky weekend, but I came back to this thread to just say that Saturday morning was simply terrific... because of ARSENAL FC! I'd say most of that credit goes to the players, in both their quality and their fitness, but some must go to the oft-maligned manager. And a little to luck of course... The first 15 mins we were playing ON FIRE! Our passing triangles were about as fast , crisp and accurate as I've ever seen. But of course we fell into that all too familiar trap of dominating the opponent but having nothing to show for it... in part because of Mignolet. Think of how the game could've been oh so different if Sterling had connected with that cross just outside the 6?! Luckily he didn't, and then in the last 15 mins of 1T we won the game... emphatically! So many great moments from this match: Bellerin's goal (his first?), All 4 of our goals were masterpieces, Both sections of our midfield were superior, with Santi+Ozil+Sanchez a truly lethal force, and Ozil?... he's really cranked up his game to shut up his critics, which at times had included me. Since we self-sabotaged our European Cup run, we now have just 2 competitions to focus on. And I for one, am not counting out a title run. Sure it will take some luck, both good luck for us and bad luck for Chelsea/Citeh, but you know what? Sometimes things just start going your way.
Last Saturday: Piers Morgan : What has Arsene Wenger done in last 10 years?? Martin Keown : You are sitting in the stadium he built. Brilliant!
Ok that's one piece of luck i was talking a out that needed to go our way. Things are starting to look intriguing!
hey, something great just happened for Arsenal! Which one of our players should we lambast and pick apart for being not as good as Maradona?
The table seems to getting sexier by the week...Hopefully the two Manchester will draw next week...# 2 is secured lets move on and focus on # 1 or go as far as possible...get all the 21 point left & set the bar higher next year..
