I know the team shop is great but I can't find Hoodies or Jackets for kids 10-12,12-14 etc...

Also I like the the full zip jacket but I want pants to go with it.

    Appreciate any feed back

Team shop is the best as far as I know. Whenever I see Crew stuff other places, it's like one rack, surrounded by 50 racks of OSU shit.

I've concluded that there is no good place to buy crew gear. If we're being honest, even the team shop is poor. The only time I can get there is when I'm at a game, when I have to wait 20+ minutes just to get in, and find that they're all out of reasonable sizes.

The online shop sucks, and decent stuff seems to disappear suddenly. So, if you see something you like but are hesitating, I'd say pull the trigger and get it. Everything seems to be really limited run.

I saw a yellow, thin-texture hoodie that I liked in the team shop at the Toronto game, but only XL sizes were left after I waited for 40ish minutes to get in. I have no faith that I'll ever see that hoodie again.

Blame that on the fan bases. When a spring OSU football practice with paid admission can get more than 3-4 times the capacity of CCS, well...yeah. Plus, almost any licensee can slap a OSU logo on just about anything, knowing it'll be scarfed up. T-shirts, napkins, plates, clocks, watches, so on and so forth. I think it was @kgilbert78 who mentioned that the team has to sell X number of items in order to get them in the shop and some of the stuff that we'd want just wouldn't clear that threshold. It's the truth...it's the unpleasant truth, but it is what it is.

Have you tried after the game? Don't rush your way down there...they tend to stay open as long as people are in there. The tables and other portable stands also have a selection too. Check out the Homage gear and stuff that the various supporter groups sell at the tailgate.

I'm sure we all want OSU or NFL-levels of selection...but when we struggle to sell out the stadium unless it's good weather or a marquee opponent, well, we're stuck with what we have.

I dont know why they do not set up a tent/table outside of the stadium and sell limited gear. For instance when it's 25 degrees out people may be willing to buy hats, gloves, etc. I can promise you that I would have more gear if it was not for how hard it is to get into the team store. Sit two employees with an Ipad and sell gear outside the main gates.

If you're in the parking lot, most likely, you have a ticket for the game which means you'll be in the stadium. If they were to sell gear outside, I'd rather they sell breakables...things that people would want to take to their car.

Between the store and the portable kiosks, there's what, five locations to buy stuff? Plus the supporters tailgates. I don't see how adding a portable table outside the gate would help.

I think the garage sale is a good place to get gear that otherwise might not be produced for the general public--like pants and those three-quarter pants they use for training. The quality is usually (but not always) better for the team gear than the replicas. One exception was the year that the official game shirts had an iron on bottom seam. And the fabric was not comfortable at all. I'm thinking it was 2010, but I do not recall exactly. Usually the team gear is very comfortable.

The Salvation Army thrift store on S High in Merion has 2 racks of leftover Crew gear with the old logo (clearly the team or a vendor unloaded some stuff). Nothing's thrift-cheap, but there are some training tops for $15. We bought some baby gear for a friend - brand new 3packs of infant onesies were 35 but are marked down to 12.

This is true. The online store seemed really pretty good this past winter, up until the league took it over.
There have been many times I've seen something in the shop at a game and not gotten it, then a month later the item is not available in my size or not available at all.
A good strategy. Lines are shorter, gives you something better to do than staring at the tail lights of the car in front of you as you try to exit, and you don't have to cart your gear around the whole game.

My wife went to the Adidas store at the Aurora Farms Outlets in northeast Ohio and found some Crew SC (post-rebrand) gear. I haven't been to the team shop yet, but the stuff at this Adidas store is about 35% cheaper than the online store--plus they had a buy 1 item, next 50% off deal. The selection was far more limited in diversity (e.g. Home Jersey, Track Jacket, scarf, t-shirt). I know there are quite a few outlet malls across Ohio that have Addidas stores but I don't know if others have similar deals. Seems to me that if you want a home jersey or Track Jacket, this would be worth the trip.

Unfortunately, she didn't know if the jersey was authentic, replica, or both--just that they only had gold.

I have no problem waiting in line to get into the store. My problem is the selection is crap and normal sizes get snatched up immediately. Going to the store after the game won't fix that.

And when it comes to jersey sizing, WTF is this supposed to mean?:

Since when is a 46 a Men's small? Assuming they mean inches, that's more like a XL or XXL.

Americans are getting fatter, so our size chart has to adjust up.

NO WAY those Adidas/Reebok lines are right. It's like they got their row off by a column or three. Trust me, I'd LOVE for a XXL to be a 54" chest.

More important question... Why does the mlsstore.com have Nike and Reebok jersey sizing? Is this a lost link from 2001?

    Seconded.

It's no secret that the league is going with the same company that does other leagues, right? Maybe that's just someone at that company not caring about their job?

This also gives the false impression that they EVER have stuff larger than XXL..

    Gear question: (cross-posted)
Some of the players on the bench for the rainy Philly game were wearing grey "rain jackets." They're not in the Crew Gear Shop at the stadium, but the Buckeye Room at Polaris carries them; they're about $170. They are "clima-proof", and seem like Gore-tex.
Does anyone own one of these? If so, are they in fact waterproof? I might be interested if so; $170 is a lot to shell out if not truly waterproof.
(Figured the weather for this game was a good test for those that have one).
