On Sunday April 5, Real Madrid plays early at 6:00 A.M. BeIN Sports' website has the games listed for 1 hour earlier than they will be played. Of note is that Barcelona will not be live in English because of Marseille vs. Paris Saint-Germain.
Actually no, in fact possibly more people are drawn to the Dick Vitale freak show commentary Hudson presents than are annoyed or offended. I admit sometimes I decide to watch a match because I notice Martin Tyler (or Derek Rae, Rob Palmer, Ian Darke). And I also find the "Jorge Ramos y Su Banda" approach enjoyable. I can live with him, at least he's truly connected to the sport. Now that there isn't a Gus Johnson to kick about, I've gotta complain about somebody.
I'll take Gus Johnson over Jorge Ramos any day. Jorge Ramos is the absolute worst pbp person in the history of the sport. So bad.
Championship Good Friday triple-header this week. Now that's good beIN. Middlesbrough vs Wigan 9:55 AM Ipswich Town FC vs AFC Bournemouth 12:10 PM Derby County FC vs Watford 2:40 PM
Good to see the 30-minute highlight show "Futbol Latino" being shown more consistently every Wednesday now. I wish they would turn it into a one hour show. They try to cover most leagues from South America. A bit hard to do in 30 minutes, specially now that Argentina has 15 matches a week!!!
The only way to see the Argentine League in HD. I like TyC's coverage but no HD kinda sucks. I wish Bein would pick up the Argentine rights.
Most of their matches are later in the day when Europen leagues are done for the week. They need more US prime time live matches instead of filler and news.
Even if they did get the Argentine rights they would still show it as a 90 in 30 after 3 straight replays of express extra and the locker room. Im sure they would botch it.
On second though you are right they will find a way to piss off another set of fans lol. But the Latin highlights show is good.
Watching the Championship tripleheader (nice work, BeIN, doing the logical thing for once), and I see now they have a "69 days left" to Copa America bug on the screen next to their logo. Don't tell me we're going to have look at that for rest of the season on all their broadcasts.
Fiorentina-Sampdoria will be played at 12:30 P.M. tomorrow and BeIN Sports will join it in progress at 12:55 P.M. after EA Guingamp-Lyon.
BeIN Sports sent me an e-mail telling me to take a survey, but when I clicked on the link it said: "Survey Closed Sorry, but this survey has been closed."
Damn it! Me too. I saw it when I was out to dinner last night and I was excited to sit down and give feedback on something that I feel has such wasted potential. Oh well, i guess its back to clueless twits in miami yelling at a monitor and 30 min versions of matches I really want to see
I received the survey and was able to complete it (it was pretty comprehensive and time-consuming) and made it clear that I'm not interested in handball, cycling, etc., just football. I just wish there was some place to ask them to add an on-demand feature to their online streaming.
Starting at 9:55 A.M. tomorrow, BeIN Sports has a quadrupleheader of clubs in the Champions League Quarterfinals. First Real Madrid, then Juventus, then Barcelona, and finally Paris Saint-Germain in the French League Cup Final, which BeIN claims will be shown live at 3:55 P.M., but another site says the game is at 3:00 P.M. Another Champions League Quarterfinalist, Atletico Madrid, plays at the same time as Juventus. Atletico Madrid will be on live in Spanish at 11:55 A.M. and 90 in 30 in English at 5:30 P.M. The 90 in 30 will be played on Sunday at 1:30 P.M. On Sunday the last La Liga game of the weekend is last place Cordoba hosting 16th place Elche at 3:00 P.M., and that game will not be on either channel. The English channel will show AC Milan-Sampdoria and the Spanish channel will show Bordeaux-Marseille.
beINSport-1 will join in progress the French League Cup Final for the 2nd half (3:55pm). The match will be shown LIVE in its entirety on their streaming service. The match will also be shown in its entirety on beINSport-1 on Monday at 12:00pm ET and on beINSport-ñ on Tuesday at 8:00pm ET. SA www.soccertvblog.com
meh. NBC/telemundo do similar graphics for their Olympics games so I don't know why people are complaining about the Copa graphic. **shrugs**
The graphic is small time like the rest of the nonsense that they do. Anyone know when the La Liga rights will be announced?
