What players? Their roster is staffed with overhyped prospects that never panned out.

great strike by George Boyd. I think he slid about 20 yards on his knees after that one. I want top see a slide replay!

    1 - 0 Burnley.

In other (unrelated) news, Bacary Sagna has only 11 appearances for City this season in all comps.

Wow... Someone needs to make one of the google spreadsheets with the remaining games for the top 6 now that we're down to 10 left or so.

He is still getting his payday. I'd say that was his primary objective for this season.

United's next 6 are Spuds, @Pool, Villa, City, @ Chelsea, @everton. Pretty brutal stretch. Best bet for us is them to lose points all over but take some off of City (and Chelsea ...)

Indeed. I don't see them losing it. Wenger pretty much sealed it for them by letting them have the playmaker they needed. Only two years removed from gift wrapping Fergie's last year by selling him the striker he needed.

He thinks the fans have forgotten. Yeah we don't forget.

My god. You are such an ass. I am sure you know more than Wenger. You are such a negative ass. Just STFU and try to contribute something, anything, meaningful, and productive to the conversation.

I was duscussing facts, not resorting to personal, infantile attacks. Is it a fact that Wenger's sale of Persie won the title for them ? Or that Fabregas has been exactly what the Chavs have needed ?

Sons irrational attacks on the managers out there--look at the pressure on Ancelloti for falling out of first place after winning CL last year.

If Chelsea somehow collapse and we win I will gladly take it all back and apologize profusely. But as it stands, who realistically thinks that will happen ? And if they do win, our managers will have played his part in it.

It truly is sad that here we are, 10 plus years later from our Last championship and at least 2 years in from having removed the findncial shackles--when there remain no more excuses---that there are people out there that think the manager remains immune from criticism.

I kind of hope Vermaelen comes good again. What happened there is nobody's fault.

We didn't want him, he wanted to move on, he hasn't played due to his health and to top it all off, Barca can't sell him.

As much as a i loved RVP he is now on his last legs he is esstentially an immovable statue, right now Manure fans can't stand him. Cesc production has always fallen off after December he was a bust for Barca and since Decemeber he hasn't been lighting the world on fire for Chelski either.

Agreed about 2015 Persie. He sucks. But the one from three years ago, he was a difference maker that won them the title. And Cesc so far has been instrumental in getting the Chavs where they are, and they are sofar out in front,no one expects them to collapse.

The idea of not winning is bad enough, but aiding and abetting your most closest rivals to the title really sucks.

My point is simple--how many years and decades have to pass where we begin to hold the manager accountable? The stadium debt era is thankfully over, and I remained a Wenger supporter through thick and thin. But now we are clearly in an era where there are no more excuses as far as the league is concerned --a CL place isn't good enough when we've spent 75 mil on just two players in 2 years.

Elither the manager is held accountable or he is not. Like I said, if the Chavs collapse and we win, I will be the first one to profusely apologize. But what's the lokelihood of them collapsing ?

The difference maker was Ferguson cheating.

Without his amazing ref support and arranged games Utd are bobbins.

Their underlying data was just as shit back then.

    fergus gold dust!

    Will to win!

Well RVP wanted out you cannot have a forward on your team that has checked out. United would have won the league regardless that year with or without RVP it's not like they weren't an elite team without him. Cesc wanted a move to Barca he didn't pan out there was a bust did you expect us to pick him up again. I understand your frustration but are you doubting the Alexis signing when he has been the best player in the PL this year. If it wasn't for Ozil injury which has lead his drop in form he would was and I think still can be a top 5 MF in this world let alone this league.

Are you part of the Wengerout crowd??

I hope he's enjoying his early retirement, he earned it. I wonder if they'll try to figure out a way to move him to MaNYCiteh USA?

I always wonder about these moves. He'd be starting at Arsenal right now. Is Song happy with his career right now? I wonder how many of these are just agent led moves.

I know money is great, but surely players want to actually play and be competitive with equals.

Right now, Song is playing for his next club and his next contract. Once he gets rewarded for his good performances this season, he'll go back to hot doggin' it on the pitch.

If you got offered 30M to go work at a much more prestigious company, albeit at a good chance that you might not actually do much work but you'd still get paid the full contract value, would you really struggle with that decision? And that's bearing in mind that a footballer's career is often over by 32, unless they're a CB or a GK.
