Greetings, I haven't lived in the bay area for a couple of years now, but I'd really like to come by for the home opener of the new stadium. Unfortunately, there are no individual tickets for sale (for now - I have a feeling there will be some tickets available for walkups). Before I plunk down the money for a plane ticket, however, I would love to know that there's a ticket or 3 (if I can get my kids to join me) waiting for me. Can anybody help a brother out, or should I just walk up and pray?
Expensive but available: http://www.stubhub.com/san-jose-ear...kes-san-jose-avaya-stadium-3-22-2015-9201713/
It's considered a sell out, so I wouldn't fly out and hope to walk up. Also, the looming strike could be an issue...
They have also said they will have "standing room only" tickets available, which I haven't seen go on sale yet.. but be on the lookout for those. Otherwise, StubHub may be the only way to ensure your way in to the game. You may also think about contacting one of the supporters groups; they often have tickets available as they have a certain amount allotted to them they sometimes offer if they don't have enough members to use them.
Same boat here. I will be in town as I'm working a meeting in AZ a few days before. Happy to buy a ticket from a fellow Quakes fan before shopping on StubHub (I'll also reach out the FO). Let me know if you have an extra to sell...
