got an email to purchase a B-lot parking pass for 180, bit the bullet and made the purchase...if I'm not mistaken is B-Lot where they have the away supporters park?
I've only ever seen the Red Bull bus there. We tailgated there for US-Jamaica a couple years ago. Not a bad option and that seems like a solid deal.
I always thought when walking into the stadium during DC, Chicago, and Toronto and seeing their buses over in that area....could be wrong though. yeah if prices will be going up to 15 bucks, might as well stay locked in at last years price...
B-Lot is on the East Side of the stadium. VIP lot is on the West Side and immediate North Side of the stadium. Easier in and out too.
I have been parking in B Lot for years and it is a good deal ($10 per game is great). You enter very quickly and exit is not bad. Yes this is where the supporters buses usually park. Most visiting supporters are really cool with the exception of TfC and Shitcago and then I park on the other end.
Yeah, they don't really care *where* someone parks, as long as it's not in the VIP lot (if you don't have a VIP pass.) It's just that having a pass for the B lot allows access to the B lot. I confirmed this with the receptionist when I was buying my B pass and she basically said as much. Now, if you knew someone with a VIP pass, you could probably pay the money to get into the lot and then have them loan you the VIP... I didn't get the B lot last year, but apparently this year, they're making us go online and print them out. No big deal to me, really. I wonder if it's possible to refund them online. Speaking of which, the FO representative said that it's a 48-hour window this year, making it "end of the day Thursday" for a weekend game. If you enter in via the SE entrance (nearest the historical society building), do they make you go straight, or can you turn to the right before the parking lot fence as if you were gonna go north towards Lowe's? I see the signs over there say "no parking/stopping during state fair" but I bet they've thought of that one.
2 things. I got the standard placards for parking in B Lot. They haven't allowed electronic transfer of these in the past. Secondly, the 48 hours prior to kickoff is for any ticket exchange. They changed the policy for unused match tickets. They must be exchanged on that Thursday. Bonus 3. They allow ppl to pay the $15 to park in B. Which pisses me off when there are no spots left for parking pass holders. I wasn't aware that you can park anywhere once thru the date.
Since I buy the tickets through CSU and haven't exchanged a game yet, that's not much to me. The one time in the past few years I missed a game, I gave the ticket to someone else to scan. So you can lock in last year's prices but not have a guaranteed lot? Just more evidence that Standard Parking is a joke. (I bet it'll surprise some of you when you realize who downtown's largest parking operator is.) But I'm not surprised that people who pay the daily rate can park in the B lot, as they don't believe in having staff as parking attendants. Once they take your money, they stop caring.
The best part is there are usually two port-a-johns in B Lot, both of them where the Crew puts the away supporters. That's kind of annoying.
I am curious as to if there is now bacon flavored maple syrup, since we bacon lovers have been plagued by this unholy union for years now...
Wait, what? So if I'm "cashing in" an unused ticket to get an extra buddy into the game, I gotta do it before 5pm on Thursday? WTF? And I'm learning this here and not through my representative?
My seats are premier east, but doubt this changes. Page 16 of the ticket booklet. New for 2015 -Tickets must be exchanged a minimum of 2 business days in advance of the match you will not be attending -Once the match has passed, the ticket may not be exchanged -Ticket exchanges are available in limited quantities in most price levels.
Now, I'd imagine that most of the Nordecke remains the same as last year, as the groups generally buy as many season packs as possible.
Umm, I *am* a STH; I have received no booklets. Am I a second-class citizen now because I dropped from the 18- to the 10-game package?? This really makes me mad. I can no longer "cash in" on previous games? If the exchange is one time only as before, then I have to be certain of the game I want to exchange into *before* the game I can't go to, right? Not happy.....
wow then that has changed since I talked to my rep near the end of the year...he told me I would have at least up until an hour of game time to use the ticket....now it's 2 business days....bad form...
Semantics. You have up to an hour before the current day game to use FUTURE match tickets as exchanges for the current day match you're trying to exchange for. This is explained in the booklet too. And on the website. http://www.columbuscrewsc.com/membership/exchanges " Any exchanges conducted on a match day must be completed no later than 60 minutes prior to kickoff at the designated ticket exchange windows at both ticket booths located next to Gates 4 & "
