I have a question about the seating configuration at Commerzbank Arena. I was there for the Hoffenhiem match last December and they did not open one entire end. It was pretty much a full house otherwise. I may be back over there in November and I noticed the Bayern fixture is one that I might be able to make, but I saw again on the stadium diagram that the end is blocked off. I thought that for a big match like this they would open up the whole stadium. Anyone know why they do this?
10% of the stadium has to be blocked for away-fans in all Bundesligamatches. Of course hoffenheim doesnt need 5000 tickets, so when they return the tickets, the seats go into sale on the matchday or stay empty. (mid-december they tend to stay empty) There wont be an empty seat against Bayern tough. The only way to get a hand on a ticket would be the black market infront of the stadium, but I think chances are small on that fixture...
Hoffenheim does not even need 5 tickets. Rumors say that children birthdays have more visitors than Hoffenheim, Leverkusen and Wolfsburg.
Wolfsburg actually managed to show up in Frankfurt with 72 Awayfans on a Saturday at 15:30 a few years back...
Well its not getting boring... 66 goals in 16 games! The offense is second only to Bayern while the defense... well lets not talk about the defense. Alex Meier is definitely claiming his spot in Eintrachts hall of fame this season!
Eintracht looking upwards again with an important win against Schalke to keep us out of this seasons fierce relegationbattle... Coming up are Mainz, Hamburg, Köln, Paderborn and Stuttgart. I'd say ~10 points out of these 5 games and we are talking about Europe this spring! meanwhile Ultras Frankfurt set a new standard in terms of Tifo...
Btw the win against Schalke finally got us ahead of Kaiserslautern in the alltime Bundelsiga-table! http://www.fussballdaten.de/bundesliga/ewigetabelle/
Geez man, officiating in the B'liga is usually pretty good, but some of these are horrendous. http://bundesligafanatic.com/eintracht-frankfurt-and-the-not-given-penalties/
Eintracht Frankfurt firing on all cylinders now that Alex Meier is back. The attacking trio of Seferovic-Castaignos-Meier is easily among the best scoring in the league. Will be interesting to see how many goals they can combine together for, especially with a playmaker like Stendera running the midfield. Waldschmidt and Gacinovic are also promising prospects. http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/sep/14/eintracht-frankfurt-mr-extraordinary-glory-days
How can you not root for Herr Meier? Great to see him banging in the goals, top lad. Could Eintracht finish in the European places?
Definitely a serious contender IMO. Offensively, Eintracht belongs in the top 5 of the league. Veh has implemented a much more fluid attacking system than other teams like Schalke and Leverkusen right now. Meier's presence is an immediate boost which gives further confidence to his teammates. Both new additions, Castaignos and the keeper Hradecky have been effective. Depth wise there's good options on the bench in forwards and midfielders. Defence however is the one department that still needs work. If they can improve gradually then they have a solid well rounded team that challenge for Europe again.
Anybody else catch the Schalke-Eintracht match yesterday? Great advertisement for the Bundesliga. Very exciting.
Eintracht Ultras were really naughty today - stole their Hessen Rivals SV98 Darmstadt banners during the match, then proceeded to burn them in front of them
