Son Heung Min's goal to tie the game up was a moment of exhilaration and jubilation. Only if it could have been a story book ending.
It's okay. We didnt have the full squad and who gives rat's ass about AC? General korean population regards AC below Asian Games therefore not even military exemption. I know that the perception of AC is changing but it wont happen overnight. What we should focus on is 2018WC. Let's have some patience with Stelieke. Cant wait to see classic 4-4-2 formation with Son and LeeSw up front. In the mean time, support K-league.
Tell me how it is not a "real argument" when I proved to you that many analysts expected our plan B is one of the best ways to go against Australia. You are the one who is in denial of Stielike's achievement in this tournament. If you want to put up a real argument, support your opinions with fking facts. Stop acting like a little whiny pussy and bashing our NT when they overachieved.
lol SOT as much as I wanted us to be at our first FIFA Confederations Cup on foreign soil, the Aussies won't have it easy there and I can see them crashing out again, so the smexy Gold printings won't mean squat . We may have not won the cup but we certainly saw some positives of the team like KJS at LB, KTH's aerial threat, but most preferably the KSY+PJH partnership. Not only did we reach the finals after 27 years but we did it in an undefeated fashion without conceding a single goal, and with the way we played too early on it still makes me chuckle. We perhaps had one if not the only longest winning streak without conceding a goal, and we actually scored off a set piece in a very very long time (LJH's goal vs Iraq). So, it's not all so bad in the end, but as I've said in the Iraq match day thread now that the Asian Cup is over, we can start tuning our team.
Both Spain and Japan didn't end up doing too well after they started implementing that gold printing/patch thing with the previous champs (and IIRC, we haven't had a champs league repeat since they started putting champs patch on unis either?)... obviously the sample size is small and repeating is hard to being with but maybe this will become a new curse, who knows Missing out on Confed Cup experience sucks but at least we all know that the experience & performance there doesn't reflect the performance in the World Cup in the following year...and it will allow us to concentrate entirely on the key stages of our WCQ process if anything (There are two crucial final round WCQ ties left to be played following the 2017 Confed Cup).
No, you dumbass neckbeard... As a CDM, PJH had good partnerships with KSY and KJS. We missed out on the positives of those partnerships, which imo was a big part of our success, by playing him on the left and subbing him out early. Can you actually bring up your own counterpoints or what? How the hell am I supposed to know what AJH and HJH said. I'm actually trying to explain my reasoning here, what are you doing?
And how is it my fault that you didnt read what AJH and HJH said? You have hands to search for the articles yourself. I dont understand why you are so fking mad at our NT. You seriously need to understand that we overachieved.
Lol ok kid, if you can't even explain your argument, I guess it's not really worth hearing. Who the fck said I was mad at our NT? Our boys had this game for the taking. I think we are the better team and we had a very good shot at taking this championship, even with our injuries. Given how poorly PJH and JHS played and the fact that JHS was so exhausted we ended up using him as a 9 for extended periods of time, we would have been likely much better with our usual starting 11 where everyone's comfortable in their own skin. Our players deserved a better game plan.
What Stielike essentially did was move the pressure towards the players. You could tell that he knew that we couldnt win when he gave the prematch interview regarding the inexperienced players in the squad. But you heard from the pessimist first here. The fact is Korean footballl is on the demise. We have regressed so much that we bataely can guarantee a win against arab teams. I have been following this team for the last 15 years and when it comes to the NT we dont have answers. I dont know what the problem is bit we always cant get rid of the problem

As LYP and PJS said before, it's mainly because we changed our manager every single fking year. Players need time to get used to the manager's strategies and it takes years to finally make our own "color". Also, it's because KFA is stupid enough to believe that Korean managers are good enough to make our NT competitive.
hahaha, the top comments were actually pretty tame and respectful. lots of zingers and gems further down, though.
A lost cause now, but I wonder how well we would have done if we went to the Penalty shootout... with most of our guys being on heavier legs than the Aussies at that point... I think the guys in our lineup at that point with consistent PK experience were only KSY, LKH and JHS, and JHS legs went out in the ET anyway... and who knows how well Kim JH would have done... I know he's stopped a few PK's in J-League, but not sure about how he'd do in shootout situations. I probably would have lined it up like though: KSY LKH SHM CDR KTH Looks more reliable than the bunch that missed 3 in a row from 4 years ago at least...
this tourney showed that although he has elite talent in his body, he is far from being an elite player. further from it that we had all hoped.
Give Stielike kamdong a couple of months. He will revamp this entire group of imbeciles and undesirables into a superior team. How in the world you LOSE to a team like AUSTRALIA? lmao
