When we drafted Robert Kristo I saw a college pic of him, and I decided I really liked SLU's jerseys. Here's what they would look like in CrewSC colors. Not sure I like it as much as the original, but it's alright I suppose. Never mind that this would never happen for a number of reasons, but it's fun to mock things up.
Ding! Ding! Ding! What's black and yellow and sold all over? That jersey because I don't already own it!
Not a fan of the hoops. I'm more of a vertical stripes man. Dallas already does the hoops thing. I think Orlando is doing it as well. I think the only team that does stripes in Montreal. LA does the sash. No one does the Monaco half and half shirt. When I saw the preorder email, I immediately thought Monaco. Like I said though, I'd prefer stripes like this:
Would holding a scarf next to his head count instead? It'd be cool if somebody in MLS went with the Monaco-esque diagonal half and half, but not us. Wouldn't look good or work for our yellow and black, IMO. In general, vertical stripes > hoops. We'd look better in black and yellow vertical stripes than looking like bumblebees. Awhile back, someone posted a pic of The Strongest (Bolivian club) kits that have black and yellow vertical stripes. It looked pretty sweet. Aren't Montreal's blue and black stripes only a third kit? In MLS it's a unique look and should be their primary.
Some of the other teams shirts have started leaking. http://www.footyheadlines.com/2015/01/montreal-impact-2015-away-jersey.html
So I'm guessing the stripe at the bottom is an adidas thing for this season. Our training shirt has it as well. I like Seattle's pinstripes. NYs though... yikes.
Yeah, Adidas globally is trending with that hoop at the shirt's base. For the fashion sense of it all, it's truly made for the kit to be worn untucked.
Did Kamara give it away? #9 it is. Thanks was a hard choice. @JustinMeram I owe u big time bro. #ChipotleDinner pic.twitter.com/pq8eK4pfs7— KEI KAMARA (@keikamara) January 24, 2015 I suppose they're practice kits?
I'd guess the same. But that's good news in the fact that it would indicate that adidas has them ready for the preseason. Sometimes, they haven't.
Yes, practice kits: http://www.thecrew.com/blog/post/2015/01/25/photos-lakewood-ranch-day-1 Kamara just tweeted that a few hours before thecrew.com had pics of that kit online.
Weird that J9 gave up his 9 when he's worn it here for 4 years and at Michigan before that Kamara. I wouldn't really put Kamara in the class of players who when they show up, you give up your number, especially when he's never been exclusively #9.
