FT 3-1 We played well, but those few silly mistakes cost us the game. Canas definitely needs to step it up. Other than that, we're good to go against Cuba. There's absolutely no reason why we can't defeat them.
Honduras defeated Haiti 3-2. Haiti and Canada are both now officially eliminated, while Mexico and Honduras are through to the next round. Mexico has qualified to the WC. With that being said, ES needs at least a draw to remain in 3rd place. If ES wins and Canada defeats Honduras, then they finish in 2nd place. As for Group A, Panama and Guatemala are through to the next round while Jamaica and Aruba are eliminated. The winner out of T&T and USA will progress to the next round, while Panama and Guatemala will battle for 1st place and WC qualification. Definitely rooting for Panama and T&T to win respectively (no hard feelings, Junior Flores and Amando Moreno).
Yes there's a chance of a USA vs El Salvador match, but it's not certain. We'll just have to wait and see.
So USA got 2nd place. I'm hoping we avoid them. Hopefully we beat Cuba & Canada at least ties against Honduras. In a perfect world we would go up against Guatemala
USA and Panama both respectively defeated T&T and Guatemala 1-0. That puts USA in 2nd place and Guatemala in 3rd place of Group A. If ES finishes in 2nd place (by defeating Cuba AND Canada defeating Honduras) then they will play Guatemala. If ES finishes in 3rd place (by either tying against Cuba, or defeating Cuba AND Honduras defeating Canada) then they play against USA. If we thrash Cuba by several goals AND Canada ties with Honduras, we can finish in 2nd place thanks to goal difference, right? I actually don't even know if I'd rather face USA or Guatemala, though it would be such a sweet victory if we defeated USA......
They're gonna sort then out again. Meaning they're gonna get 2nd and 3rd in both groups and put them on a 1-4 scale, we're 1st plays 4th and 2nd plays 3rd. USA has first, so I'm hoping Canada at least ties Honduras and we take 3rd

Guatemala, against the U.S. or MEX mentally they feel the need to defend(bunker). One of the few times we went on the offensive was with the U23 and a lot of that had to do with them getting scored on first.
I'm getting such cold feet towards the USA vs ES game, but at the same time WE have the power to eliminate USA and then go off to the WC
U17 to the World Cup, U20 to the World Cup, Beach National tema to the World Cup and a good showing in the Gold Cup would be just out of this world
We do have some problems going in to this final game vs the US. We only have today to rest, while they've had two (including today). Fatigue is a big factor going in. We have also lost Dominguez due to accumulation of yellow cards and are at risk of losing Narciso due to injury
That's CONCACAF for you. The US and Guatemala have had three consecutive double days rest. I also don't like that they're giving us a Mexican ref for this game
