The sheer size of the place lends itself to having seats for just about every match except for the ones mentioned above.

Where is JefferyS for this topic?

Actually, the stadium is always sold out but is rarely full. The socios that are "abonados" have season tickets, but they make their tickets available to the club for resale if they are not planning on going to the match.

For those of you that are planning to go, if you want the peace of mind of having a ticket in your hand before the game, then by all means buy them in the internet from the club's web site. (it is through La Caixa web site) But, you are can almost always find a ticket outside the stadium on match day, even for the Madrid game, although expect to pay more for those.

For the CL games, the club makes the tickets available first to the socios abonados then to the socios and then to the general public, for the first round, there will be plenty of tickets, even for the Milan or Celtic game.

    Most of all, enjoy:)

Not too much to add to all this.

True that the only sure sell-out is the Madrid game, mostly because the "socis" or club members will all fill their seats. For almost full matches (not until later in the season, Champions League quarter or semi finals) you can get seats but prices will be high, in fact the press has been complaining about rises in wicket prices lately, and rightly so. But the deal is that there is little officially available since many are buying a package to opt for three games a year for a hundred Euros, and that means less empty seats. Members can also resell unused seats through the ServiCaixa network, and it is not a bad way to go if you don't want to risk buying late. Machines every four blocks in the city, literally. I would not risk buying from a scalper anymore as I have been screwed, mostly because they sell a seat and then have to go in with you, and sit you in someone else's, and then you can get kicked out. A real scam.

Availability is better for Champion's League as the times of games, 8:45 PM midweek, is bad for all the out of towners who won't come in or those many who are shopkeepers, often open to that time, and business is business. Having Milan here for the Gamper sort or ruined that gate for the Champions too, I am not sure I want to see them again, and don't think Celtic will give us a very entertaining match.

For whoever said they will look for a Numancia seat, that will be as cheap as they get and not full (along with Getafe's visit), so a good bet. If it is not televised and is played earlier on the Saturday or Sunday, I'll try to go with my kid.

If anyone is keen about the game and wants to see a nice 2nd division match, I recommend going down to Tarragona, an hour by train and nice stadium, fans.

Don't worry about Catalan, just use your Castillian instead, it's too tough to learn before April

Chances are "ZERO" and even a million euros can't buy you a seat, this yearly match is bigger than the World Series and the Super Bowl combined.

Castillian is regular Spanish (although not your normal Mexican Spanish), but with certain pronounciations like "Gracias" they say "Grathias" and so forth.
Everyone in Spain can speak and understand Castillian, but Catalan is unique to Barcelona, like EUSKARA is unique in the Basque region of northern Spain.

Who knows what kind of spanish i'm being taught right now. I would bet that it is very Latin American centric. I know I could speak Castillian, but I will give a look at online sites or a tape because the language is such a big part of the Catalan people and the club.

Do tickets cost more from these machines than at the stadium?

Is it easy to see where you will be sitting when you use them?
(I have a seating plan with numbered areas - 07 lateral etc)

Also, I particularly want to be with the home fans but don't know where the away fans enclosure is to avoid it??

Sorry for all the Qs but I'm going next week and hope to get tickets

I am going to be in Barcelona on the 17th October when Barca play Espanyol away. I have found tickets available on various ticket sites but they seem very expensive. Can anyone tell me what the chances are of getting a ticket when i get there a couple of days before the 17th and also what the face value of tickets for this game are.

    Thanks

    Ali

The offical tourist information centre also sells Barcelona tickets, but only two or three types of seating -- 70 Euros(near the presidential box), 49 Euros(upper section on the side), and I think also behind the goaline. I do not think they charged me for extra. They are from the government. Of course, they all speak good English and other major European language since this is the tourist information centre. I bought mine at the centre in Placa de Catalunya. I do not know whether they sell them at other location. I saw a sign at a tourist information booth in Las Ramblas, but they might tell me to head over to their main office at Catalunya across the street if I ask about the tickets.

I assumed that they also sell tickets at the stadium. On my case, I found it useless to buy at the tourist information centre since I wanted to check out the museum at stadium. So I actually bought the tickets and left for the stadium immediately.

    Hello,

I'm from Barcelona and I go to all the matches of Barça in the stadium as I have season ticket.

    a couple of things...

about the name of the stadium, the real name is CAMP NOU.

-about tickets if anyone is interested in getting tickets for any barça match e-mail me at alexfcb234@hotmail.com as i am member of F.C.BARCELONA i can have the chance of getting them. About prices you can buy the tickets for "normal" matches in the offices of the club the same day of the match at acceptable prices...but important games or games against good international teams..(milan, ajax, manu...etc etc etc) the prices will rise significantlly.

if anybody wants to know more .....alexfcb234@hotmail.com

I think the best way to get them is calling at the 00 34 900188800 international phone number of FC Barcelona. They speak english. and it is open from 9am to 9 pm. the best spots are tribuna 1 or 2 and lateral 1 or 2. you can look at their website too www.fcbarcelona.com
