@SunderlandAFC: #SAFC: Pantilimon, Vergini, Reveillere, O’Shea (c), Brown, Cattermole, Larsson, Gomez, Johnson, Wickham, Fletcher. @SunderlandAFC: #SAFC subs: Bridcutt, Rodwell, Altidore, Alvarez, Coates, Buckley, Mannone.
I'm getting so sick of this sh**. Altidore please get the hell out of there ASAP. Sunderland is the most sh** team in the EPL. They are nearly impossible to watch.
Well, at least Sunderland's players have shown today that Jozy isn't the only one capable of missing great chances.
SAFC have used 2 subs already, one being Buckley on for Wickham. Looks unlikely we will see Jozy today.
Sunderland's forwards were OK, so I wasn't at all surprised JA didn't get in. It's the same as always, JA will eventually get another shot and it will lead to more opportunities only if he gets a goal.
I think Fletcher, aside from no goals scored, which is just a given at this point for S'land strikers, did very well in his hold up play and distribution. Should have had at least one assist to Jordi Gomez (IIRC) who just SHANKED an open goal chance. God, I can't even imagine the reaction if that would have been Jozy. Fletcher's hustle in the 90th minute for a guy that looks about 55 years old was pretty impressive. I think when healthy he's one of S'land's best talents.
Fletcher is really blue collar. His "talent" is in his straight-forward, but sometimes effective approach to the game. He is a quintessential mid-table rotation player. He gives you not much more than Jozy, but not less either. They are pretty equal on a talent level, although they have different strengths.
