This amazing streak by NE has been entirely against Eastern Conference opposition. The Revs haven't played a Western Conference team since August 23. And, that team doesn't exist anymore. (8/23: NER 1 CUSA 0)
If you want to see what we're up against, I'd watch the first half-hour of the first leg of the NY NE series. They look very good.
I've watched all their recent games. I wasn't suggesting it will be as easy as the match in July. They are much tougher now.
I actually think it going to fill Keane with pride and confidence in winning this award. I think we're going to see it translate in his play on Sunday. I, for one, am happy that Keane won the MVP, he deserves it.
I also think he deserved it. We shouldn't need the motivation, but I'm sure Keano would trade an MVP for a Championship, and I was just checking out all the angles.
No way. Soccer is one of the few areas in which I give in to anxiety, prejudice, superstition and other baser instincts for a brief periods of time. It’s probably half the reason I enjoy it so much.

My concern is that stories like Donovan going out by winning MLS Cup are too perfect. All too often, fate nixes real life fairy tales.
It will be dry and sunny for game time...advantage Galaxy. The game is at 12 noon! so quick breakfast for me and on to the stadium.
That's the great thing about sports. Any fairy-tale endings are earned. Not pre-ordained…. I want Donovan and the team to earn this on Sunday…. Then I can have my fairy-tale totally un-earned celebratory beer.
Am I the only one that kinda misses Hachiko? I mean, he was a weirdo, but ultimately pretty harmless. He didn't need to be Cudicinied or anything.
Yes, you are the only one. Actually, I don't miss him, because I'd had him on ignore for over a year when he got gone. I didn't mind the anime, actually, but the pure stupidity was tough to take.
Was he really banned? If so why? I wasn't a fan of the anime stuff but it didn't bother me. Aside from that, he didn't strike me as especially annoying. I mean consider Sanda, or that It's Called FOOTBALL guy...
There's one thing bothering me on the upcoming game: is Robbie Rogers properly preparing for this final. All I see is him tweeting and retweeting over and over and over ad nauseam about his book and now magazine articles and covers. Given his crappy performance of last weekend, the week the book came out, it makes me wonder. Hopefully he's got an assistant who is actually handling his twitter feed this week and helping take his mind off of it because he needs to FOCUS on the game. Other than that, I'm good. I don't see any way Revolution beat us. Jermaine Jones/Lee Nguyen or not.
