I'll be nearby. I'm trying to figure out who to bring, my long time best friend who went to the losing effort in 2009, or my second longest friend who I took to the successful 2012 Cup?
Dang! Current search at Stubhub.com lists the following: Mezzanine tickets ranging from $134 to $666.66! (Satan is a Galaxy fan; now I see another reason why LA is hated.) GA $150 to $266! Endline (south side) $178 to $352! Corners $154 to $649! Sideline $190 to $11, 111 (not a typo)! Luxury (3 middle sideline zones, west side) $463 to $1465! These may go up as game day approaches. Get your tix soon, folks! Thank goodness I already got mine way back.
Just got mine this morning, $177 each for section 136, row U. Early Christmas present for myself I guess.
I'm not sure I would play any wingers against New England even though their flanks aren't that great. If you take Jones and Nyugen out of the match things get a lot easier and playing narrow would do it. Front 6: ----Juninho Sarvas----Husidic ----Donovan Keane-------Zardes - Give Donovan the space to roam left and right, which will pull Jones. - Juninho shield the back 4 and shadow Nyugen. - Husidic is in there mainly for possession purposes and to be a nuisance defensively, if we have 60% possesion it will be very difficult for them because they're built around strong midfield play. - Zardes/Husidic has to cover Rodgers side on defense because if he gets forward he'll have Farrell on toast. - I would play AJ at CB if he's healthy. Defensively there's not much to fear from New England's left side. It's the right side that could be the issue if Bunbury finds himself in space, that's why the attack so much down that side and try to find him and not Tierney. However them being so right heavy means there's space out there on the counter and space on the left from the shape collapsing to that side. Or we can stick with a 2-man midfield but I'm not confident of playing 2-midfielders against New England.
Looking at StubHub, I'm about to list my ticket. I paid $145.50 for it. In order to recoup that cost, I'd have to price it at ~$190 on StubHub. That's a pretty hefty markup for them.
I may have an extra ticket for sale. My son is up north and has finals the day after the game / can't attend.
Alright ya'll got my tickets and yours truly will be in the house hopefully to witness history and share the experience with all of you fine folks who will attend.
TrickHog, rokstedy and I are going to be sitting really near you in section 104. I would love to meet you in person. I'm going to PM you now. And for the rest of you, yes, you heard that right - repeating the seating dream team. I fully expect a win now.
Win or lose, when 90+ minutes are up and Landon Donovan's playing career is officially over, enough man tears will be shed on the field and in the stands to fix our state's drought problems. Judging by the playoff beards shown by our guys, I'm totally in it to win it like the team. Those facial hairs are pretty beast; The team couldn't donate to Movember Awareness last month because it was the start of the post season, but the caveman amount they're sporting now, I fully expect this LA Galaxy team to not only win MLS Cup, but to cure ass cancer and give New England - like Testicular Cancer - a swift free kick to the balls. 2-1 LA. Let's go Galaxy! Donovan (the bald one) and Bruce (the dark one) after MLS CUP: The Galaxy is theirs.
Dang! is right! What the heck do you get for that string of 1's?? I hope it at least involves your choice of classy bordello the night before.
Totally agree. It would have felt very incomplete for Landon's last game not to have been at home. It'll be a privilege and a memory I look forward to telling my kids about.
Got mine tickets last night. We should be favorite but I'm concerned with the Revs midfield. Our wing play and corners are better than theirs. They have the better keeper. I think is going to boil down at whom can make it count with their chances.
I really think this game will be decided on corners. I envision an intense, physically challenging game. I do think Nguyen is more creative and Jones stronger than Marcelo or Juninho individually, but as a duo our Brazilian pair are superior in central midfield. They will need to watch for what LA has done so well themselves: The quick, knockout counter. Be wary of Davies sneaking his way to the far post when Nguyen or Jones has the ball. Mark Bunbury extra tight on corners and set pieces.
