Ok, let me add the lineups and benches

    Copa America
    --------------------Talavera-------------------
    Pizzaro----Maza---Reyes---Alanis---Layun
    ---------------------Gallito--------------------
    ----------Aquino-------------Jonathan-------
    -------------Jimenez---------Gio--------------

    Bench:
    GK: Corona
    RB: Corral
    CB: M. Herrera
    CB: Ayala
CB: Silva( or best up and coming CB)
    LB: Ponce
    CDM: Guemez
    RCM: Montes(if healthy)
    LCM: Fabian or Gonzalez
    FW: Cubo
    FW: Peralta

    Copa Oro
    ----------------------Ochoa---------------------
    Aguilar---Maza--Marquez--Moreno--Layun
    ----------------------Gallito---------------------
    --------------Herrera--------Guardado-------
    ------------Chicharito-------Vela--------------

    Bench:
    GK: Talavera
    RB: Pizzaro
    CB: M. Herrera
    CB: Alanis
CB: Silva( or best up and coming CB)
    LB: Ponce
    CDM: Guemez
    RCM: Tecatito
    LCM: Fabian
    FW: Cubo
    FW: Peralta

I understand what you are saying, but I still think these teams can get far in Copa America and the other win Copa Oro. As I said, I'd be hesitant to not include gio in copa oro, but I think he deserves to start. He is too good to be a bench player waiting get playing time up until the semifinal or final. Concacaf teams bunker and it's not like Gio is a player that has shown to excel against those teams, so that is why I also would rather him be at copa America were teams play more open and he can show his skills.

With this lineup mexico would still be sending their "A" squad, if you want to call it that.
We managed to do well in the WC, so I don't see a problem or why we would struggle against Concacaf teams.

i loved when he said this :inlove::
"We will come with the full Mexican team," he said. "Not with the A team or the B team. We have the freedom to bring our best players and it will be a nice team that comes to the Copa América."
I hope El Piojo knows that our best players are: Vela, Jimenez, CH14 ,Gio, Herrera, Guardado, Moreno, Reyes, Johathan and Ochoa. Anyone else is replaceable.

Unless some agreement was made between FMF and the Euro clubs our duses play for, they probably wouldn't be released for Copa America. They are required to for Gold Cup...

I think he knows the Euro boys are a step or two above the liga mx boys, probably the first Mexican coach that does.
But I doubt like @Kaney said that any of the Euro boys will play copa america, it will be a best from liga mx which should be an upgrade from last time.

I thought it was Concacrap that was making us take a U-23 team?

If only Piojo would make an account on here then start a poll and be like "Ok bitches which tournament do you want me to send the A team to, Gold Cup or Copa America"

if they don't let them play copa America they will have to let them go anyway, why wouldn't you let your player play in a much competition where the value of a player can go up, if I was porto or real sociedad I would tell vela or Herrera to pressure to play copa America instead

Since Mexico is not a member of CONMEBOL, Copa America is not a FIFA-sanctioned tournament for Mexico. Gold Cup is since Mexico belongs to CONCACAF. Teams are not required to release players for unsanctioned tournaments. Meaning that unless those teams agree to do it anyway which is highly unlikely, don't expect to see any of our European-based players play in Copa America.

If FMF calls them up for Gold Cup, the Euro clubs can't refuse.

As for transfer value, I would agree with that for players playing in Mexico. For players like Herrera who are already in Europe, their value goes up by competing in Champions League, not Copa America or Gold Cup. They are already in Europe. I doubt Porto would want to risk injury to one of their rising stars by allowing him to play in an unsanctioned tournament.
