Right now Balotelli does not belong on a 23 man roster for Italy. That is exactly what I'm saying. I don't have crushes on players who don't perform. I care more about the shirt than any one player. And yes, both Immobile and Zaza don't belong on the team right now either. I've been saying that since the call-ups were announced.

    Pelle… 2. Gabbiadini 3. Berardi 4. El Shaarway 5. Destro

Pelle has been the most in form for his club. Gabbs has also been in form, has major skills and is good with set pieces. Berardi has the most talent and promise, and can set up goals as much as score them. El Shaarway is a LW player which we need plus he's finally healthy. Destro is the most clinical at center forward (something Zaza and Okaka need to work on).

Besides being the five best options right now they also all fit into a 4 3 3 or 4 3 2 1 etc the best when Conte inevitably chooses to change from his 3 5 2.

I think we have to accept that this generation just sucks. Plain and simple. They failed with the 4-3-3. Now it looks like they'll probably fail again with the 3-5-2 that everyone here was coveting under Prandelli. What's left at this point? A 4-4-2?

Not a single player would make it into Germany's starting 11.

bayern leads the way for germany NT.....real madrid & barca do it for Spain.....Italy needs a super team like that to make the NT good again. Juve is usually the one but with lack of investment, money and not much fan support that italy has been lacking in the past 10 years, it finally caught up. Italy just does not have the good players anymore and the fighter mentality is not there either. i think all the losses under prandelli, even though they were meaningless it affected the overall confidence. he must have lost like 10 of them....US, mexico, uruguay, russia

i swear balotelli is the most talked about player on this forum and it's not even close. even when the guy doesn't play he's still on the tip of people tongue's. for that you all deserve another classic balotelli pic.

    ;) this guy pure jokes

you wouldnt say that had you watched the game lol,

okaka is truly shit. one or 2 good games for samp doesnt change that, lots of players have good games, and it seams conte is ready to reward each and everyone, which is stupid.

also as for verratti, its truly laughable to see some downplay his talant, really laughable. after pirlo he is the only genuine class player italy have. he is the one italian player every club would want and some of you keep going on about this 3 yard passing bullshit, enjoy this shit team without verratti then

Italy, especially in the north, has a large Albanian population.

Hopefully the ticket sales do go to a good cause. In Italy though, I don't know if I'd trust any charities.

This made me sort of chuckle.

Most popular? Lol, have you not been reading these threads, or media these days? He's got to be one of the least popular at the moment.

Clueless is anyone who would say that Ciro is more talented than Balotelli. Balotelli doesnt lack skill, but a brain. Immobile does lack skill however. If he could make it work for him, then more power too him, but I haven't seen as talentless a bull as him in some time.

Balotelli has more skill in his left toe than Immobile has in both lower limbs. Why can't people criticize him properly? Its not even a debate. If you want to say Cirus scored more last year or has scored more now fine, but please for the love of all that is Holy...learn the difference with skill on the ball and scoring goals. Balotelli's problem has never been skill, its been skull...as in brain, as in attitude.

I laugh at how Cirus was being hailed as the new Vieri. Talk about reaching. Ciro Immobile is the Di Livio of strikers, just a bull. Would it matter to me if he were regularly bagging goals? Nope. I don't care how they come. I'd be over joyed if he regularly out muscled the opposition and got more goals for the national team, even for club.

One of my favourite strikers of all time was Inzaghi, who was also one of the least skilled Italian strikers of his generation. Weak shot, not a great passer and couldn't dribble well, but he found the net. So it wouldn't bother me much that Immobile can't actually run with the ball at his feet, a requisite skill at youth level, or that he kicks it 15 feet in front of him and chases it. None of those obvious limitations would mean anything if he was 1/2 a Vieri or scored like Inzaghi. Happy happy joy if that were the case. Even if that were the case, he still wouldn't have the skill set of Balotelli...just a better brain and work ethic, and nose for goal.

    Let's learn to differentiate already!!!

Hey I have a neat idea. He who talks about Balotelli first, the next tine he does something worth talking about wins. Something like throwing another dart or pointing another gun in a camera and tweeting it. Even something crazy like actually scoring a goal, lol. Who's in?

I'm not sure that's entirely true. Even their defence could be breached. DDR in their midfield with its support. Marchisio is definitely as German as they come, lol. Any of our "skilled" strikers with their midfield could make an impact. They wouldn't need the false nein (pun intended) after Klose goes out.

I'd say the only ones who might have a chance are De Rossi and Chiellini. I don't think any of Italy's forwards are good enough to make them move away from the false 9 with how good Muller and Gotze have been there.

There you go making me chuckle again with that last pic.

I don't think Okaka is shit, but he's not exactly killing it either. And I was surprised that he's 25 years old already.

Not too much though…unless you want a wicked stomach ache and the shits for a prolonged period of time.

Bonucci might make it as well.

imho italy should try to see how a Verratti-Jorginho-Florenzi midfield works out, but Jorginho can't be picked for Italy until December so it'll have to wait a bit

To be fair Okaka has had a remarkable rise in the last year. The type of play that had him once so highly rated. I don't think he is shit at all, its wide of the mark actually, he may finally be ready to produce consistently but yes even Okaka deserves his chance right now ahead of balotelli.

I understand you're just a racist and can't actually form logical arguments, but for Balotelli at Liverpool no service is an excuse, yet for Immobile all would be magically well if he had better service. Funny how that works

You and the other racists would be foaming at the mouth if Balotelli ever put in a stretch of shit games as bad as Immobile. 6 competitive games, 0 goals 0 assists. Pure garbage. But hey you don't give him a pass, you're just glad the black italian is gone.

Hey lets not throw the baby out with the bath water guys. All we need to do is make a couple tweaks around the edges here and we'll have a winning formula.

Lets take Giovinco for instance. Bringing him into this side will give us the creative spark we really need to propel this team forward. I mean that guy really tore it up at the youth level. Sure he's been inconsistent the last ten or so years but lets not dwell on negativity.

And we have an abundance of prolific strikers to choose from. Guys like Giabbadini, Destro, Pelle, Berardi have been firing at club level. Sure they play for minnows (sorry Roma fans all Serie A clubs sans Juve are minnows in European terms) but so did Immobile and look how successful he turned out to be by landing a big contract at a Champions League Club.
