    Can USA stop and close down Robbie Keane, McGeady, and Shane Long in the Ireland v USA game in Dublin ? Ireland has injury problems, Wilson defender of Stoke city, McCarthy of Everton, Glenn Whelan of Stoke City, he has not played club football for the last 4/5 weeks , Holohan injured, Kevin Doyle injured. Ireland may be too tired and stale , when they face USA in Dublin 18 November, because Ireland play Scotland in Euro '16 qualifier in Glasgow on 14 November. USA could ambush Ireland in Dublin by beating Ireland 3-1. What do you think ?

    Roy Keane is like a mishmash of all the stereotypes about Irish guys.

    Are Colombia better than Ireland ? Scotland beat Ireland 1-0 today in a Euro'16 qualifier, Ireland were not great today, they were average, USA better watch out for Robbie Brady's free kicks near US goal mouth area, USA better watch out for McGeady , he is dangerous winger. How will USA deal with Ireland in Aviva Dublin next Tuesday ? Robbie Keane came in in the last 15 minutes, he did nothing. Will Rubin frighten Ireland ? It could be Ireland 2 USA 2 ? Tell me what will happen on next Tuesday ? Up USA Hugh

    We score early, and bunker until the end. Ireland can't break our bunker. We win.

    Keane will score the late game winner and Klinsi will slam our MLS contingent.

    Ireland won't high press us like Colombia did they don't have a lot of players with that mentality or athleticism. We will have time and space so it should be a comfortable game in possession.

    As probably the only person here who was more focused on the Ireland game than the US game today I'll say the US has absolutely nothing to fear in this game. Late goals (winner in Georgia, equalizer in Germany) gave Ireland the results they were looking for but it was kind of like putting lipstick on a pig. Ireland may have been joint-top of their group (not anymore) but they're really not that good at all.

    Without the injured McCarthy the midfield was absolutely abject today. Gibson and Hendrick were hopeless in there. McGeady flatters to deceive (and the Scottish crowd clearly got in his head today). And if you're seriously going to start Walters and Long ahead of Keane...oh dear God. Please excuse me while I go repeatedly bang my Irish head into a wall.

    Anyone feel like Nguyen, Yedlin and Jones will stick around for Ireland?

    I hope they do and Nguyen gets to start. Let Jones and Yedlin sub in (or not at all in the case of Jones) since they played longer .

    He should be in the lineup as a striker. His problem is defending.

    Jones said he was going back after the Colombia game, probably the same for Lee.

    Assuming Yedlin, JJ and Nguyen leave.
    The line-up should look like this...

    -------------Ruben---Altidore-----------
    -----Green---Bedoya---M.Ibarra-----
    -----------------Beckerman-----------------
    Garza-Brooks-Cameron- F.Johnson

    Give Mix and Jordan Morris 20-30 minutes....
    Mix <---> Bedoya
    Jordan Morris <---> Ruben
    Sub in Morales for Ibarra in the 80',
    along with Beasley for Garza if necessary.

    think it's time Morales gets a chance to start in this one, not going to be a much better chance to test him against a decent team

    Add Yedlin and Beasley. Too bad JK only gave 12 freaking minutes to Lee N. he is one to keep an eye on. I guess I'm going to have to wait for the next round of MLS to see him again.
