Vela doesn't have it in him to be a better player. The guy just plays for a check and the easy life. If I were a Real fan, I'd call him out for not putting the extra minutes when the team needs him.

If I were a Rea Sociedad fan, I'd be pissed that they sold all the talented players and didn't buy a single one to replace them. They sold Irramendi for how much? Griezmann for how much?
This team is just hard to watch, they have no one that is talented besides Vela.

Midfield can't even string 2 passes together to put Vela in a position to attack lol

Enjoy it while you can, but that Vela isn't coming back. Compare him to a player who really gives it all to a team like Jonathan dos Santos. That guy went from playing 2 games a season as a starter, to being injured for more than half a season to being consistent in every game he's had so far with villareal . That guy plays for the shirt. vela, on the other hand, has no motivation, isn't confident in himself and if he really wanted to be in the same level as he was in the past, he wouldn't be in his comfort zone. He would take chances and move on when he had the chance. but he's already made his statement by staying in Real Sociedad and not moving to another club. He's going to get exposed when he plays for Mexico.

Wait I thought the reason that Vela hadn't left la Real was because he was partly owned by Arsenal, and they had first dibs on him but because he didn't want to go back he had to wait till La Real bought his whole transfer...?

He was owned by Arsenal. Where else was he going to go besides Real Sociedad, who was the team who had the first option to buy?
I'm pretty sure after this season, he'll almost be out of there.
No soccer player would have achieved what he has in the past two years if they weren't motivated.
