Well, that could be quite a hill to climb for the Terrapins! Aside from the economics of television markets involved, the Big 10 wanted schools like Maryland and Rutgers for their research credentials and to have more sports available for student athletes so as to sponsor them under their conference umbrella. Next to the Ivy League, I think the Big 10 offers more athletic sports for its men and women than any other major conference. Johns Hopkins was added for lacrosse only to give the league 6 members (joining Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan, plus the Terps and Knights).

 

As a neutral I hope NY win
