he's definitely frustrating. he seems to always try and take people on when he should look to pass/combine...and then always try to force a pass/combo when he should take people on. and dont even get me started on the hothead plays.
Would everyone stop whining like spoiled children who did not get a pony. This match changed on that horrid non call on the first Hull goal. That's a youth league call that a 12 yr old reffing his first game makes. It changed the match and everyone knows it.
Pretty sure it was welberg, but id like to see Campbell start for sure with Ox misfiring. He should be given a proper chance. edit: the one im talking about was welbeck, campbell broke up a different counter later.
I see what you're saying, but there's the asset appreciation aspect of it as well: if Arsenal suddenly turn into a mid-table club, fans will stop going to games, ticket prices will have to be lowered to sell out games, and that's not including the 20m hit to revenue from losing CL money or the hit in TV money from a lower league place and having fewer games in the prime TV slots. And also from having fewer home games. Kroenke's going to lose value on his asset, and I'm betting he hates that. More than that though, I somehow doubt that the club would have spent 40m net on transfers this past summer to tread water.
Dude, this is the worst injury list in Wenger's time at Arsenal. We had three, perhaps four, of our first choice XI starting. We should still beat Hull, but I'm less worried about the failure to beat Hull and more about why players keep getting injured. It's as if there's a voodoo doll out there somewhere.
Yes, we have a lot of injuries (we always do) but if we can't beat Hull c'mon.....really. This was supposed to be the beginning of a long stretch of three pointers for us. Whose confident about that now?
Alexis, 35m spent, 1 goal scored from nothing and 1 goal created out of nothing, 1 point sparred. 200m in the bank, playing a washed up CM as a DM and a mediocre LB at CB, 2 points dropped at home to a collection of mid table discards. That sums it up for me. Monreal was trash and per is too used to letting Bac and Kos attack the ball. Jack was good early, but then tried to do too much as usual and got himself crocked. Ramsey was rusty when he came on, but what do you expect? Injuries are no excuse. It seems like the fear that winning the FA cup last year would take away the sense of urgency at the club is becoming a reality. This has to be our worst start in quite some time...11 points from 8, 3 loses in 6, dumped out of the league cup in the first round, half the first team on the injured list....depressing stuff.
not too sure about that bro...even a mid table arsenal will still have rabid fans from all corners of the globe who would love to see them and would pay handsomely to do so.
The injuries are no excuse. Nearly every fan or pundit were screaming for another defender this summer and most argued for another midfielder as well. We got none. We only got welbeck bc Giroud had the decency to get injured when the window was open.
Well, another hard fought game, a stirring equalizer in stoppage time. Drama galore. We should be happy, shouldn't we??? Sigh.
...Monreal was fine at CB today. Jack was ok, but he isn't good enough to run the attack and I think the first 60 showed that. The worst part is Ramsey was yelling at Jack to back off before the stupid challenge, totally immature shit you expect of a 16 or 17 year old.
Honestly, Flamini should never have to start for us....Ox is struggling....Monreal should never have to play CB (althought I thought he did well with his lack of experience) and Per I think should be coming off the bench for someone like Hummels. I like Welbeck, honestly I do, but it shows that we didn't get someone like Cavani and got him.
i see what you're trying to say but tbh Cavani, since he has started having marital problems hasn't been the same...he missed sitters last week for psg and Blanc was reported to have put him on a special training schedule to build up his confidence.
Will Charlie and others finally admit wenger is shit and clueless and he can't see that we need a bigger squad with strong and taller players not shit midgets??,,
Same and I didn't even watch the game. I had a feeling how it would go and went for a bike ride instead. I hate feeling this f*cking pessimistic this early in the season but I'm just so fed up with the same old shit happening year after year.
Why is everyone shitting on Jack? Maybe we watched different games, but for the first 45 he was spectacular. Some of those balls he played were incredible.
He was great in the first...along with santi in midfield we were getting good positions. Once we went behind he tried to do too much and lost his head. Everyone is shitting on him bc he acts like an child when things get difficult. Now, he's twisted his knee and risked serious injury (and a yellow) all bc he was mad. I expect more professionalism from a player with 150 pro caps under his belt.
