I don't understand why a player like Sig is given preference all the time. I mean he should have scored at least 1 goal from his chances. Not only from that first Klaassen pass, also the second. Not even challenging from that Andersen cross. Or that situation on the right where Ajax throw in, he runs away and then turns, to be too late for a combination from a van Rhijn pass. He also lost the ball a few times starting 1 or 2 turnovers. I don't understand why strikers in the Netherlands are allowed to be so bad.

No Serero is meh. Klaassen is good within his own possibility's. The question is if that is enough. He has no acceleration, speed, dribble to enforce something on his own. I crave to see that from a midfielder and he will never be able to deliver something like that.

I will repeat again that his creativity is risingh. Sig should have scored from his cross(es). He is allowed to put in some more through balls though.

@DRB - FdB has his favorites and they cannot do anything bad from his perspective. Sigthorrsson is such an impediment to good play that it's not even funny.

    Good: Andersen

@DRB - Klaassen is a super hard worker and I think that overcomes some of his liabilities. Still those crosses into the box should have been buried!

Sometimes I seriously wonder if the decision of players to make the starting lineup at Ajax, is primarily to boost/maintain their transfer value

That intention from Serero to combine is also completely misread by Sig again. He is moving away from almost any combination opportunity, which leads to a turnover again.

I am ready for Zimling. Viergever on DM is not my cup of thee.

On that note, I am also ready for a winger that can get past his marker without the help from a team mate.

Nice action Andersen. Defender nr. 3 was too much.

Sig was not even trying on that van Rhijn cross.

I liked that grass cutter from Klaassen past the goal. Serero or Sig only have to touch such a ball and it is a goal.

Think the ref has that right with a yellow for Cillessen.

Why is there no ball boy behind Cillessen.

Haha, that Sig foul. Same as what he did on Veltman in the weekend. So clumsy.

I still see moments where I want to see Andersen go for a duel and he is not even thinking of doing that. It's simply not on his mind. Opposite of Klaassen.

I fear that Viergever will get a second yellow with a future turnover.

I would take out Schöne and put on Kishna on the right.

Sig is worse than playing with 10 men because he isn't invisible. If he were invisible, then at least he wouldn't be getting in the way as much as he does

Milik can't possibly be worse than Sigthorrson, can he?

Ajax can win this but they need more speed at the front.

Schöne still provides more danger than Sig though. If for nothing else than his ability to score a FK. I think he is the last player I would take off.

Sig could just give it a bit wide there and it is 2-1. Goop hustling from him, but that is otherwise 1-2.

Good save Cillessen and good deep kick.

At the very least this is partially true. Ajax would not play someone in their final year of their contract if they refuse to extend it. I doubt Sig plays today if his contract was up this summer
