Fvcking good for Frank. Only fitting that he scores against the aide he scored so many for. He had a second blocked as well. Even better that he scores against us in the matter that he scored most of his goals for us, with a late run in the box. I found myself slightly irrated after the goal, nit at him, but because you knew he would. Frank is paid by Citeh. He needs to do a job for Citeh. I love the fact that he wanted nothing to do with a celebration as well. Like Guddy for Barca against us back in the day. It's a frustrating match to be honest, but a point away was a good result. Just wish he had more gumption going forward in the end. Don't like a kickabout in the final minute with a man advantage.
Going into the match I would have been satisfied with a draw, however, considering we were 1-0 up with only about 15 mins to go I am disappointed. Not only Shurrle but a lot of the players forgot their was still 15 minutes left to play for. They were in cruise control and that hurt us. It's been a recurring deal where after we score then we sort of let off the gas. However, having said that we are sitting top of the table, & 5 points above City after only 5 matches is a great place to be. I don't think anyone will take us off the top of the table this season. CFC for life!
Pelligrini labeling us as a small club. Wish we had won today. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/manchester...chelsea-mourinho-over-defensive-style-1466505
Defensive style of play? Pellegrini can fuck off. There seem to be a lot of idiots who confuse being on the backfoot because you're being outplayed vs. intentionally setting up to play defensively. We were forced to defend because Willian ruined everything for us going forward and we simply could not retain possession. It's not like that was part of our strategy. And City playing at home is almost going to be a game in which you're going to have to defend a lot. It's just a stupid thing to say.
Pelligrini is a fvcking fool. They are the defending champs and all they got was a draw at home. In his two seasons at Citeh his best result is a 1-1 draw at home against us. He said before the match it was a must win. Yet prior to Zabaleta being sent off they couldn't muster a single goal against a side who really struggled going forward and once forward couldn't do a damn thing with the ball. I'm irritated in the result because it was ours for the taking. Getting a draw on the road against the defending champions is a good result and there isn't anything from any other side that makes me scared to go and play at their place. But this match, especially considering the way Dean called it, played in our favor. I will say that IMO JM got it wrong with bringing Drogba on. I know why he did it as he wanted to really close the match down, but we had a man advantage going a against a defense that had to push forward. Bringing on Remy would have been a better sub as his pace could have caused serious problems for them.
Why? Why wouldn't he want to try and compete against his former side? I cannot understand any sentiment where he wouldn't try and score that goal? If he would have had it his way, he would have still been here. Well the powers that be and really for good reason, thought otherwise. While Frank is employed by Citeh, he owes nothing to Chelsea. Just as Drogba owed nothing to us when he played for Gala and played against us. Unless I'm not understanding what you're saying, but if I am correct in my interpretation, I completely disagree. Frank should do what he always does. Score goals.
Can we also stop playing Dave at left back? We bought a top class, left footed left back so why don't we use him? Dave is great defensively (even though he had an off day) but playing him on the left just nulifies any of his threat going forward. I know Ivanovic has started well and Dave is a Mourinho favourite but one of them needs to get dropped for Luis now.
I don't agree with what Jose is saying about Lampard. He makes it sounds like Lampard doesn't care about Chelsea any more b/c he went to City.
Everybody seems a little 'down' considering we have just got a point from (probably) the hardest Premier League fixture all season. A point is good business particularly because due to their last couple of results and the fact that they have fallen a little behind us already this season I think Man City were 'well up for this one'.
Jose never said Lampard doesn't care about Chelsea any more, and that is a very strange interpretation of Mourniho's comments imo. If he had said Lampard doesn't care about Chelsea anymore, I would definitely agree with you, but that would be a very odd thing for him to say.
Pelligrini's comment is just bizarre. His team committed 16 fouls (could have easily been much more) and got 5 yellow cards. Was that his big club tactical plan to beat Chelsea at the Etihad?
Here is another quote: I can't read Jose's mind, but the words I highlighted do tend to suggest (at least this is how I read it) that Lampard chose to go to City and he no longer cares for his club of his heart.
I don't believe that is the case, BUT, if you are correct, he's out in left field. No way that is the case obviously judging by his non celebration and his post match interviews. As I stayed it wasn't his choice to leave.
