Asian Cup is a FIFA/AFC tournament so they have to release him.

Yeah I'm aware of that but couldn't the KFA work something out in getting for the Son for the AG and not calling him up for the AC? Exemption is slowly slipping away from him it seems like. I know he's young but he only has so many chances.

The FA did alot of negotiating and work. They even gave options of making him join after the group stages and many other options. Leverkusen has the last say no matter what and they said no.

It's no where near the FA's fault in this situation. Actually, I blame more on Son Heung-min and his part for not putting this obligation in the contract when signing with Leverkusen.
Park Joo-ho, who wasnt even sure he would make the squad did so why didnt he???

Also shows Leverkusen are planning to sell him sooner than later.

He has permanent residency in Germany according to Mr. Rodolpho Pollino's agent. :whistling:

It's not the KFA's business in the first place but as Jiv stated there were attempts. Leverkusen showed they don't care about exemption and keeping Son for Asian Cup has little to no value when there's no competitive games for them during that time.

Ugh god... I want sleep... yet can't. I won't wake up in time otherwise.

At least that means we get some more players inclduing Noh exemption if we win the gold.

I have to get up at 10 so Imma sleep now but I'm really liking the lineup. Always wanted to see how SJH would do in the nt. The more rest the starters get the better. Was kinda hoping the backline would stay the same for chemistry purposes but w/e it should do.

When we get knocked out I'll be happy knowing LYJ didn't get exemption.
