an all touches video has been uploaded: he played '20 So far the thing that has impressed me the most about him in these months is his ability\confidence to protect the ball when he holds it.
Looking forward to it! Btw, we just signed another forward: Haidi Sacko. He can play as a striker, winger or AM.
Well, he seems mostly another young investment. Not sure if he'll end at Sporting B like Gauld but the biggest hurdle for Tanaka is still the fact that Slimani has been reintegrated =p
good if he travells to Maribor I would love to get his jersey or something I bet no one else will be asking for it from the audience
So, so. As usual he used his best weapon, the shoot from distance. 1 was blocked and 1 was saved by Muslera. Anyway, didn't played in his best position.
I think he was fine. There were a lot of players out of position in this match though, and he was indeed used in the midfield
Tanaka looked a bit out of place in the midfield, but I guess Aguirre's just experimenting at this stage. Reminds me of the time last season someone asked Seedorf why he subbed Muntari on for de Jong in a match, and he cited shooting ability from distance.
He was used in the midfield? As CM? Interesting. Lately, newspapers form Portugal have been reporting that our coach, Marco Silva, is finally putting is faith in Montero as a classic #10 rather than a striker. That could mean more playing time for Tanaka.
Yep, as the left CM in a 4-3-3. Worked hard on both ends and hit a powerful shot or two. Aguirre had a lot of unusual callups doing unusual things.
Apparently Tanaka chatted with Aguirre after the match without a translator and received some positive feedback on his performance. I guess that means Tanaka speaks some Spanish and/or English?
No Tanaka, it will be hard for him to break through the group of forwards and attacking players ahead of him, too much competition.
well they scored a late minute goal haha He's simply played two friendlies. Besides, he's done nothing but good, he'd deserve the spot in Sporting.
