Odd as generally GolTV would pick a Boca or River game and all remaining games would be on TyC. It might be a TyC mistake as in all markets except the USA, TyC International has rights to all games except Boca AND River so someone at TyC may have made a mistake not noting this distinction. Note that all games are broadcast live by the Argentine government on youtube (futbolparatodos channel) without geographic restrictions. I generally airplay the youtube feed to my Apple TV and it looks much better than on TyC.

Are they one of those 16x9 SD presentations? I remember when ESPN Deportes was only in SD. They used a 16x9 screen with black bars on all four sides of the TV in order to give it a "widescreen" presentation on an SD TV. They then put black "ESPN DEPORTES" bars on either side of the image to make it a 4x3 screen. It looked like a postage stamp on an HDTV.

Heck, remember when La Liga matches were on ESPN2?

i hope Fox does not pick it up they would stick it on FS+ that i get in SD and thats it and i have to pay for it and i wont i cant see them puting games on FS1 even with games starting at time that is a dead time for FOX. Also call me mad but i think the Dutch league would be a good league to let GJ call games so he can just maybe get better.

The first division clubs, who are in a partnership with EMM, were more than happy to approve the deal which will see each club receive about €80m per season from Fox International.

Haha .. each club receives $110M per season? That would make the Eredivisie more popular than the EPL.

Obviously, it's €80M for the entire league.

I saw that. The writer messed up the wording within the sentence. It should've stated the figure - €80m - for Eredivisie, not for each club.

What happenned to rights for River and Boca matches? River is playing right now and not on GolTV or TyC Sports. TyC has matches but no River or Boca.

No Primera matches on schedule this weekend either. Something must have happened.
Espn deportes is still showing Brasilerao games without anything to trade back to Goltv it would seem.

Yeah thats just a place holder until goltv figures out its weekend schedule on a friday afternoon. I mean its tough figuring out what 22 hours of reruns to show around the 1 brasileirao match each sunday.

No they actually dont. Portuguese games will be shown on Sport TV Americas through an online service. Premium Sports holds residential rights in North America. It looks like Goltv purchased rights to Benfica home games residentially only. RTPi will continue 1 game a week live.

If you go to www.premiumsports.tv you can sign up for Portuguese League starting tomorrow. Benfica home games looks like it found a home on Goltv.

Quoted from the GolTV official facebook page.

    "Dear Friends of GOLTV,

We are pleased to announce we have reached an agreement with Sport Lisboa e Benfica to air all games played at Estádio da Luz for the Primeira Liga 2014/15.

We are kicking off this Sunday Aug 17th, 7pm ET:

Who's used KlowdTV to stream GolTV? This looks like a potentially great solution for Bundesliga fans.

Did Goltv lose the rights to the Ascenso MX too now? They haven't shown any games the last few rounds "not sure if they have shown any this season to be honest". Univision Deportes has an Ascenso game listed for Friday night. Have they alway been showing it?
If so that adds the Ascenso to the list of dropped programming along with the Eredivisie and the Primera for. Argentina(i.e 1 River or Boca a week). Shitty. I know GolTv has lacked in production value and professionalism over the years, but it is sad to watch them go out like this, if they are indeed dying off.

On a side not they are showing 3 Uruguayan league games this weekend, including a Friday night game(is that a first?" And that Saturday game featuring Wanderers v Racing is for the most hardcore of soccer hipsters.

I have seen Ascenso listed and when I set a Budesliga recording to run long (as I always do) Ascenso started after. But I don't know if this was an Ascenso game from this season or a repeat from last season.

some might call me nuts but I have been thinking if I was Bein sports I would try and bye Gol tv. I think we can all agree Bein needs a 2nd channel and bad and with gol on its last legs it looks like I think Bein could get the network for the cheep.

There has been talk about that topic on this board for the last couple years.
I don't think BEIN Sports cares about GOL TV and just wants to focus on their own matters.

GOL TV on the other side of the coin still thinks they're relevant. And to be honest I am impressed they have survived this long. I thought the very day BEIN came into play this network would cease to exist.
They are on a lifeline and barely in a coma, but still living.

BeIN Sports continues to morph into Goltv ala 2010. Bein have recently poached George Metellus from Goltv who did a lot of their English language announcing.

Goltv is priming themselves to be bought up by Bein. They have lost leagues and the talent. They will be removed by the major carriers here shortly if they don't do something quick.

Here's where Bein comes in, they are right across the street.. And they need a new outlet for their product inventory. Goltv are the weakest now than they have ever been

It would nice if GOL became BeIN3, they could still show Bundesliga or license it to ESPN and show more of what BeIN is dumping onto their streaming service. (Oh who am I kidding, they'd just show more volleyball and motocross.)

George Metellus though? I don't know if BeIN could be said to have "poached" him, can't believe he was in any kind of demand. To me, it's subtraction by addition. He and Gino Fuentes have to be the most annoying announcers in the Miami mafia they have down there.
