It's a chess game, and even if ISIS is worse than Assad, the problem is that Assad is a Russian client. Not a safe position for anyone in charge of making the decisions over here.

 

I realize FIFA has not planned on making it public, but my hope is that some will do so. Someone should, actually.

Interesting . . . and it was the Cayman Island Federation that turned in Jack Warner and bin Hammam for the bribes in the presidential vote.

The revelation that FIFA are considering a Jan./Feb. 2022 World Cup is in stark contrast to comments from last November by FIFA president Sepp Blatter. Blatter ruled out a World Cup that would interfere with the 2022 Winter Olympics, which will likely take place in Feb. 2022...

...The FIFA statement states there will be another task force meeting in November, and likely a third meeting in Feb. 2015. At the next meeting, “each of the representatives (will be) asked to provide detailed information on how the different proposed dates for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar will impact their relevant competitions, activities and/or stakeholders.”
