The track record says one year and done. Did anybody think Billy Andracki would be fired after one year? Did anybody think Jim Hesch would be fired after one year? Did anybody think Josh Rife would be terminated after the first year of a three year contract? I guess that was a publicity stunt too.

What about all the players that signed three year deals? Did the Lancers just decide to terminate them after one or two years? What about Marco Terminesi? No mention about the big off season signing.

Lots of questions that are routinely glanced over by the Democrat & Chronicle.

The only long term resigning that I remember from last season was Elliott Fauske and he was in the list of returning players that were in the article.

The article also touched on Terminesi with Doug saying he was "on the roster" ... what that means is up for interpretation since he wasn't named specifically like Salles, Fauske, etc. Prior to last season previously announced signings (from the end of season 2) were re-announced like it was actual new developments in the days leading up to the season opener, so that's a possibility too.

It is quite interesting that when you click on NEWS on the Lancers website you only are able to see the recent/active stories. You are unable to access anything older...

There are ways to see older stories ... just look at the URL when you're in a news item, every story is numbered sequentially ;-)

Doug and Rich are scheduled to appear on tomorrow's Kick This show.

If you have any questions you want to have me ask, just tweet them to @kickthis and I'll see what I can do.

Ask why Ed Hale was here, is he an investor in the Lancers? Based on Sam's quotes in his letter it makes sense that he is the savior and not Doug.

I spent the past 3 years trying to get the MISL brass to hire the PASL brass. The MISL had structure and was a LEGAL franchise. The PASL had teams and a commissioner with contacts to add more teams but they operated ILLEGALLY and most teams are glorified men’s league. Finally last year after traveling around the country pushing this merger they met.

They couldn't announce it because it would look bad having an investor that owns two teams, expect to have some wins against Baltimore this year, wink wink.

Ed Hale was there as the commissioner/chairman of the MASL (depending on which release your read).

Yeah, that is why I editted it.

I can ask, but 99.9999% sure that Ed Hale does not have an ownership stake in the Lancers.

Sorry I don't tweet (too old)

    - When SS folded the Lancers, did they start the process to close the entity that is Rochester Lancers. IE - Paperwork, filings, notice to employees etc?

    - Internet rumors continue to talk about the possibility of MASL not being a legal setup. Can you tell me if the team is a franchise or a market reservation. If it were a franchise, MASL would have to send you a prospectus, a red herring and the names and numbers of past investors in your geographical location.

    - Is PASL doing business as MASL. IE. The actual LLC, Partnership agreement or Operating Agreement, is there a new one for MASL or are they using the original PASL documents and d/b/a MASL?

    - If they are using the original PASL documents and d/b/a MASL.............are investors buying a franchise are investors shown the actual profits and losses as well as the names and numbers of anyone who bought a franchise with the past 5(ish....IIRC) years? (this is the crux of SS argument as I understand it).

    Thanks

Well, the Lancers' FB page just wished Terminesi a happy birthday and mentioned that he'd be playing in the opener on November 22, so there's that, I guess.

Jim Bob - There has been questions posted for the past month. Can those be answered? Here's another, why for the past two weeks there was no show? Didn't want to answer those questions or others about what has been going on? Now the show is back with the full cast of characters to celebrate and pat each other on the back! Disturbing and to once again confirm the publicity stunt this was. If you review the posts for the past month there are 2-3 full shows of questions. But they won't be asked....

Great questions! Though we all know on this post they will never be asked. If only the Democrat & Chronicle would have thought of those questions. There is only enough time to pat everybody on the back for the entire show telling everybody how great they are for saving the Lancers.

This goes on every year from them. Show goes on hiatus and then magically returns when they have something to tell us. When the news is not in their favor they disappear ..... They must must have the best tasting Kool-aid ever!

This isn't a new story being referenced. Just a public relations/propaganda piece created by a member of the Lancers circle. It is painfully obvious that none of this will ever be addressed..... Just the story the "Lancers" want told. So sad.

So for $15.00 a game as a season ticket holder I can see players from the Rochester Sports Garden? What is a full price ticket?

    SS quote:

MONEY: So the idea of this new MASL controlled payroll. Every player we have talked to is getting better offers from other teams. My 5 partners wanted out after our 3rd losing season. I’m solo now and I have been investing $200k per year with my amazing staff and expenses. I loved it and it’s my only real hobby, but will that $200k become $500K with these crazy leaders voting every day on something new. They talked about only division play at first but they may decide more flights and further trips. For 3 year we received Free Soccer Balls from Kendis now each team must pay for Puma balls. The Multi-Point scoring thing, what’s next …I don’t trust the leaders. They have been running a glorified men’s league and they have no idea how amazing the MISL was.

What a piece of BS, he hasn't invested a penny? He pulled this stunt to attract a new money man and only after they couldn't get one locally because everyone knows SS in this area, I quote

" The doctors tell me rest the brain, no drinking, no stress, lots of sleep and you should stay stable. I get hammered every time they tell me this! Really it’s scary having your wife and staff remind you the simplest things daily and hourly. I have all my friends tell me I owe them money.

ED Hale is the money man.

As far as the Franchise concerns go, SS says it best:

ILLEGAL: PASL promised they would become a LEGAL franchise if we all joined. You cannot operate several different teams under the same company unless you are Single entity or Franchised. They said all the papers are set. NEVER TRUE. My attorneys have been fighting this for months. They didn’t want me to join an ILLEGAL group, especially if I knew it. This can destroy my business career and future political career.

You are right SS, you should be in politics. You are full of it.

I would ask these questions if they'd let me, they operate with the delay button on to avoid questions like this. The show is an infomercial for SS disciples. Why hasn't anyone asked what happen with Bill Andracki that made the playoffs the first year? He scarified his real job and family time and has proven to be the best coach, why hasn't any one looked into it, delay button.
Why hasn't anyone asked about the Rhinos, why does SS hate outdoor soccer now after years of promoting it as the greatest thing since the PC, delay button. The infomercial sells his Salvatore's brands and has nothing to do with promoting soccer, indoor or outdoor. Whatever the favor of the day is, is what SS is pushing to grow his brands.

Sad story is I can't wait for the next show, will there be an internet feed? There's a question they may answer. Please hang the jacket up and get rid of the music.

Doug Miller was just on Kick This!

Devo claimed that Doug was at Sahlen's Stadium on August 23rd scouting Harrisburg's Clesio Bauque.
Bauque is a 19 year-old Mozambique international who was on loan with Harrisburg from Benfica (Portugal).
Benfica recalled the loan before the end of this summer's transfer window, so Clesio is back in Portugal.

I don't really have any reason to not believe everything that the Lancer have to say of late, but I'm not sure Bauque's a realistic transfer target for the Lancers specifically and indoor soccer in general right now. Can't help but wonder if this is the first indication that Miller and Rich Randall are a little bit out of their league in their new positions.

If it was a publicity stunt wouldn't they have used the show as a platform for a Save the Lancers telethon? There has been absolutely no effort to capitalize on this so-called "stunt" in any way.

By not having the show the Lancers and the Democrat and Chronicle, as evidence by reporting only what SS tells them, controlled the message. Only what they said was covered. Not once in the past month were any of the original owners contacted or even asked about the team and their status with it. The Democrat and Chronicle never contacted the league offices or the commissioner. The only information reported was released by the Lancers.

If I say the economy is great Rochester will that get covered in the Democrat & Chronicle if I purchase an advertisement?
