To be fair to him, that's really tame compared to stuff that goes back and forth between rival supporters on these boards. Reads more like a disagreement, maybe not objective enough but I don't read that as super bitter. That being said, I certainly won't be joining him anytime soon in claiming Costa, Higs or Benz better than Falcao... THAT being said, when do age/injuries come into it? I dunno... Falcao is amazing when on his game and healthy, I wouldn't even try to argue that.

In any event, I was agreeing with you about the Chelsea board -- it is better. I like engaging with a lot of those guys, debate is generally encouraged and opposing supporters aren't given a ton of crap right off the bat. Can't honestly say the same about the LFC board, sadly. I wish I could. When United supporters pop up they get shouted down a lot of the time, no matter what their point.

I agree with you about Falcao (that he could well be a crock) but the RM board having a meltdown for the last few days about having Benzema and not Falcao is fairly indicative. It was just the first example I could find and indeed very tame.


In any case, you are always welcome here. We bitch about United more often than most rival fans so criticizing United is fair game as long as your posts are informed.

The likes of @nicephoras , @BobanFan and @The Jitty Slitter spend more time here than their "home" boards; and they are all appreciated additions.

Midfield is probably fine. Confident strootman is coming in January and he is arguably better than anyone else we've been linked with.

Most gutted to see Welbeck leaving. But i can understand the reasoning though LVG mismanaged the situation really and Woodward should have maybe tried being more wing.

Still much better than last summer.

You could argue another player with serious injury concerns would be too much downside risk.

Agree that the midfield is fine. We potentially need a 8 but we have a few u21s who can develop into that.

 

I can't post the stats for them from last season, but they were similar with strootman being younger.

Injury is a major concern with either of the two. Ms would have been the safest signing.

 

All we did was sign the latter and what I said re di Maria is also true of Falcao for Hernandez (loan), Welbeck (sold) and Van Persie (injury). Even worse we lost depth by getting rid of the likes of Keane and Powell but kept dross like Anderson and Cleverley. Not impressed.

In isolation we have signed good players. Some met clear needs while others were just luxury upgrades. We ignored clear gaps in the squad in this window.

I am revising it down to a C-.
