You're putting a lot of faith in a player who is what 7 months removed from a tear? I'm not saying he isn't good, but the assumption that he'll walk into a Madrid side displace their current #9 who is healthy is a bit naïve. If he recovers fully, sure he'll likely be playing ahead of him, but that's a big assumption.

 

He's scored 2 goals in 3 leagues matches so far....

Also, I am basing on how his goal form is with recent matches (both pre-season and current season) despite not playing full 90 minutes.

 

Also think, if it happens, we will get a new striker as well.

 

It's kinda sad considering how Arsenal's system is a goal scorer's wet dream; all you need is that deadly striker and you be scoring goals non-stop.

 

Rumors going around via a former BBC pundit that we are going to make a run at Remy.

 

Shoot for Falcao and Cavani, slide in for Remy.

 

Totally OK with Remy as a back up / stop gap for Giroud!
We will not get Cavani or Falcao, lest just be realistic.

 

Not addressing it at all is beyond me completely however Cavani is far from the only answer.

So Wenger finally came down to earth, and it seems now were in for Remy.

Unfortunately he waited so long that now Chelsea are also sniffing. sigh. If we really are after him and we lose him to them im gonna pretty mad. Spent way too long looking at unrealistic targets. Dont wanna end up with another Suarez situation and close the window empty handed.

 

Can try a few strikers with that money. Not big-name since they are realistic options
