Still nervy, if they peg one back they're through. I think we'll grab another since things are almost certainly going to open up. Great time for Alexis to open his account!

He did well on the goal, but he's been pretty poor aside from that today. That's what's so frustrating about him. He'll give up on runs, play hospital balls and errant back heels, make reckless challenges, and then do something really quite amazing like the control for that goal.

On second (and third and fourth look), it looks like Wilshere controlled the pass from Ozil and then let it run to Sanchez.

That's a UEFA thing. They have a mandate about not using purchased naming rights titles. Probably saves them money.

Considering he is a striker and not a midfielder I'll give him a pass as long as he is scoring goals. The guy just got here too, so there is that.

His strength seems to be relying on his ability to improvise in space. Against an organized defense, however, he doesn't make the simple decision and play within himself.

We've seen young players improve their decision making as they progress, so Wilshere can, BUT his off the ball work isn't very good.

It's been pretty clear he was out from right after the Everton game.

Just got in. Where do I look for streams these days? Haven't had to watch a game at the office in an age.

Much better this game I think. He seems to be making a lot of the runs and moves I'd expect from Rambo. Maybe he just can't play with Ramsey?

Fcuk I hate this fox sports set of knob end pundits. They are trying so hard to be like the fox NFL group and it's pathetic. Makes me appreciate NbC's coverage so much more after enduring lallas for the World Cup and now these losers for he CL. Ugh, If I ever see wynalda in real life I will almost certainly give him a punch in the sac...what a total douche.

He's really gotten into the game in the last 20-25 minutes. Much better than he started.

This is more like it, boys. Now that Besiktas can't sit back, finding the space and the lanes.

Need to put one of these chances away, though.
