We don't really know that. Its hard to find reliable news in Madrid about the team and its players because its very easy to run a smear campaign against someone i.e. Ozil if its in the club's or media's best interest.

He will have to pick it up , otherwise he won't feature in the starting XI , as it is clear Ancelotti is not going to change his 4-3-3 in attack and 4-4-2 in defence for a 4-2-3-1 ( where he would be able to play his favored role) .

Seeing Isco's development under Ancelotti I have no doubts that Hames will also come good .

 

The thing is, he deserves the pay day as a reward for his exploits last season. It seems his time here is over. Well him not starting today might have more to do with the fact that he is already on his way out and does not want to get injured .

 

It's nice to see Iker lifting trophies again so soon. If he weren't here I don't know who we would find to do it. Ramos, Marcelo, and Pepe are always good for a blunder and Xabi managed to get suspended for one cup final while serving a suspension in another cup final. Ronaldo can't fix his hair and carry it at the same time. Anyway another shut out in another cup final, it''s all in a days work for Iker.

On a side note, I thought James had a good day. A pre-assist in his first game, which is massive because pre assists are more difficult and thus more important than goals. More Benzema logic dictates James scored a goal because a shot on target should count the same as a goal with the exception that the GK makes a clean save. All in all he has shown lots of potential since his days playing in France and should have an unlimited window of opportunity here now that he has had one world class performance in a European cup final recording a pre assist and goal(*)
