Some guy on SB Nation did a whole piece on Mix & BS: http://www.sbnation.com/soccer/2014...is-apparently-a-pretty-active-big-soccer-user
Should I be concerned? I feel a little bit sad, that's all. But straight to your question - I think what you really ask -- might be possible or probable.
First few times I posted, I didn't think of it. After a while I thought it was better - if I wanted to fly under the radar for as long as possible.
Sad times. I was pretty sad when I saw that someone had posted -- not only -- things you've written here, but links, and your username, "Big Soccer", and everything. Concerned it would cause you to no longer want/be able to post here. Maybe even just taking a little break will cause these people who did this to get bored and find some other shiny thing to focus on. Mix, I hope wherever you go (or stay) is where you'll be happy. I selfishly wanted you in LA, but would've been glad to just have you in MLS at all. Again, probably selfishly, as we'd get to see you live. I wish you the best! More frequent access to Taco Bells would be nice for you, though ... Right???
I saw the thread - way back when. I made a post. Got some help - (you have to know what happened in my life back then to understand - and I won't elaborate on that part) - motivational and practical from these boards - and thought I should give somthing back to those few that clerely was interested in my decisions and progress at the time. Pluss - they made me laugh. I can still laugh. So to your question - it just happened, and was not much planned. Facebook - no, that would have been so much different. Here, I don't control a thing - and I have been just like ...you - and never with a chance to control who participates. Like some posters already have mentioned - this has been a self governing thing - governed by crazy and off the wall guys and opinions - but with the attitude much like that good people have on wikipedia - making it work.
Ah, cool. Thanks for the refresher. And a great answer by @miklagard. (Stick around, man. One of us may buy you Taco Bell one of these days)
I didn't ever ask a single question or really post much about Mix, but this has been easily the coolest thread on a message board I've participated in. Thanks Mix, and best of luck with future decisions. May they be smooth and surrounded by positive press! haha
Mix, if it's true that the league office was really the reason for you not coming to Columbus (or wherever in MLS), then the boys and girls upstairs are still lacking something in their heads. What a shame because you're a real gem. And if you ever stepped on the field for an MLS team, the diehards of BS would truly loose their minds getting to see you on the streets of our cities!
First, Jesus Christ step away from Big Soccer for a couple days... Second, people need to realize that sports reporters have agendas and there are good reporters who integrate that well into their articles and then bad ones. Anyone remember when Ives (a very bad sports reporter) was swearing up and down that it was impossible for Fabian Johnson to get a US passport?
Awful quality, but here is the goal. He flicks on a corner near-post. Rosenborg came back and won 3-2.
I agree with this to a certain extent. Those two Norwegian guys, @Sevens7ar and @@ringo , were really quite civil as well. But they ended up taking flak from several posters for simply giving a perspective on Mix that we don't normally get around here. Personally, I like to get that sort of "view from the street" from the fans who actually live in the countries where our Yanks play, even if it's not always 100% positive.
He seems to have a knack for these nifty little redirects with his feet. Reminds me a bit of Wondo in that regard.
Diskerud also put his side on the comeback trail to victory, scoring Rosenborg's first goal in a 3-2 rally win over guests IK Start. "The Troll Kids" were stunned by a pair of early goals but started their way back when the US midfielder kissed home a low corner kick at the near post just before the half hour. It was Diskerud's first league goal since opening day and his third across all competitions this term. The American participated in a pair of threatening late attacks as Rosenborg searched for the winner, which finally arrived when Alexander Søderlund bagged his second of the game with seven minutes to play. The home side snapped a two-game losing skid to regain fourth place. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...ens-andrew-jacobson-lead-bradleys-stabaek-big-
