Logged in to check the thread. Saw there were two pages worth of responses since this morning. Thought we'd made or been linked with a big name signing. Found one page of math, one page of grammar. Woof.
Notice how none of us judge you for your foibles, maybe you could do the same and stop the pointless quibbles.
That's another terrible rumor in certain. It's like the journos are just throwing darts at this point.
Anyone else watching Shaquiri against the MLS All Stars? He would look real good at Anfield. Should Rodgers be back in for him, or do we have enough attacking midfielders in Sterling, Coutinho, Markovic, Lallana, Ibe, and Suso? Were the links to Shaquiri all before we signed Lallana?
there was an recent article somewhere that put Shaqiri second to some other player on the short list of targets Liverpool should pursue, but i can't remember who that was.
So 48 hours for Fabio eh? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...et-decide-14m-Sunderland-switch-48-hours.html
I have no idea, I think the manager would rather cash in and reinvest but the player wants to stay. I'm on the fence as I think he could do wonders in our pressing game, but I dont think he is clinical enough for our attack.
Liverpool have the advantage over city for a loan to permanent deal to land Falcao. Wow. Color me skeptical until there's a signature on the dotted line. After all, we were in the lead for Dempsey and we all know how that turned out.
Getting Falcao would be amazing. Especially on loan-to-sign. Plua, Wenger would start crying to the media again.
Tony Barrett confirms we have inquired about Falcao: "Liverpool have made an inquiry into the availability of Radamel Falcao but their tentative interest has gone no further after being informed that the Monaco forward is destined for Real Madrid."
Said this earlier - apart from hoping to get Sanchez (and knowing we were fighting a losing battle pretty early) - it seems like again we haven't done a great job setting up other targets - 1) Remy somewhat fell into our lap and that didn't happen through no fault of the club 2) but apparently we didn't really have anyone lined up after that. Bony seems to still be in the mix - but doesn't seem like a choice they are rushing to pull the trigger on. Same concern with Moreno - why announce he is your number 1 target multiple times and then let it drag 3 months. Why come back last week and say the deal is close - when apparently it's not? Otherwise I do like our transfers overall.
Had about enough of the Barca/Madrid monster. At what point are you just buying players for novelty over need? How many attackers does Madrid truly need? They can't all expect to play....
i'm starting to get the notion that some clubs won't let Liverpool acquire players b/c they are genuinely concerned about how good the Reds would be if the club had so and so... is that paranoia, and did Howard Webb really work for ManU?
Funny part is IIRC Remy was one of Rafa's top targets a few years ago before he had really proven himself. He of course ended up going to Nice but it's interesting of all the teams he was linked back with us.
