Yedlin in the main all star game, so he'll skip this event. Who are the top choices to take his place?

I'm watching the game right now online--but the quality of the stream keeps on changing--sometimes the picture is clear and sharp, but sometimes it drops and becomes a little blurry.

As far as the game itself--nothing earth shattering, but not bad--good summer monday night soccer game.
Portland U 23 seems to be dominating the Home Grown Stars.

I'm enjoying watching all the young prospects. Watching it on the Watch ESPN app on my Apple TV and the stream is perfect so far.

EPB looks very comfortable on the ball.

Agree with TT. Would like to see a max age of 20 or younger.

Same here but via iPad app. How do you get the game to fill up the entire tv screen? I have mirroring on but only half of the screen take up at most. Large black borders on the tv

I'm using the native Apple TV app, but I would try turning mirroring off and Airplaying directly to the screen which should send the 16X9 and not the 4X3 version to the screen. That usually works with my iPad although it depends on the individual app's Airplay implementation. You could also login to the Watch ESPN app on the TV.

that about sums it up. pretty dire game to be honest. i also liked what i saw out of EPB-- but i thought he was a center back? he was delivering some great balls in from the right.

i don't quite get the lalas/twellman dynamic. they love/hate each other and make great points/worthless childish remarks. if they composed themselves a bit more i think they'd cover a lot more ground effectively commentary-wise. the whole match was pretty jv, it must be said.

plus the ad arm of chipoltle seemed to decided the man of the match. that was weird too.

on other points, i love the idea of an mls u-21 vs whoever's u-21 from the senior side that's playing the mls all stars. that would be very cool and would serve as another data point for league relevance/progression.

Did anyone see a recap of this game with rosters, subs, attendance, etc?

as far as on the field action-there wasn't much to recap. It was a 0-0 game that at times was played with little skill but a lot of heart. I fell asleep partway through the 2nd half (in part because lalas-twellman lulled me to sleep) and thankfully awoke with about 20 minutes left. There were some great chances on goal that were really badly botched--i mean shots flying wide of goal.
