Fox Sports 1 might be streaming it, they have a pay subscription. Uefa.com will have text streaming. Check the Twitter feed for GCZ.
GCZ plays Lille today. I think that GCZ needs a two goal victory at home to really have a chance against Lille.
Well, Lille got the two goal victory! An uphill battle for the grasshoppers. Lille ease to victory against Grasshoppers http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2015/matches/round=2000546/match=2014180/index.html
Yeah. Pretty classic headline in the "Blick": http://www.blick.ch/sport/fussball/...hi-finger-aus-dem-arsch-nehmen-id3022861.html
I love the Google translate version: "Take his fingers out of your &ss! " Lille Danes swallow brave grasshopper. But want to celebrate rebirth in five days.
And they settled for a 1-1 draw. They join FCZ and Young Boys (hopefully with a good result on Thursday) in the Europa League playoffs.
At least there is something to build off of. Lets hope for a good result from YB this weekend. If that were to happen, that would give a pretty solid group of teams in Europe. FCZ is flying high.
Write-up on uefa.com: LOSC resist spirited Grasshoppers to progress http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsle...546/match=2014195/postmatch/report/index.html
YB gets a 0-2 away victory with goals from Michael Frey and Renato Steffen. Their next opponent will be determined tomorrow. They and FCZ will be seeded teams, and GCZ could be a seeded team.
GCZ is unseeded. Here would be the dream draw, in terms of advancing to the group stages: YB - Stjarnen (Iceland) FCZ - Zimbru Chisinau (Moldova) GCZ - Celtic (Scotland)
the draw is divided into groups GCZ could play vs 1 Feyenoord (NED) 2 FC Internazionale Milano (ITA) 3 Real Sociedad de Fútbol (ESP) 4 FC Sheriff (MDA) 5 Panathinaikos FC (GRE) 6 Club Brugge KV (BEL) the obvious preferred choice would be FC Sheriff YB could play vs 6 FK Sarajevo (BIH) 7 Apollon Limassol FC (CYP) 8 PEC Zolle (NED) 9 FC Astana (KAZ) 10 Debreceni VSC (HUN) FCZ vs 6 FC Spartak Trnava (SVK) 7 Asteras Tripolis FC (GRE) 8 FC Dinamo Minsk (BLR) 9 AEL Limassol FC (CYP) 10 HNK Hajduk Split (CRO)
I forgot about that. Yes, by a long shot. They might do ok against Panathinaikos. I think that Astana would be the easiest, but that is a really long trip. I think avoiding Minsk would be great.
Hope at least two clubs make the Europa League group stage. Hasn't been an overly good year so far, with Luzern's exit to St. Johnstone and Vaduz's elimination (although no impact on the coefficient here). Also think Basel will have a worse year. Don't have much hope for GC against Bruegge, the new players simply haven't settled and our attack is dreadful.
Many injuries to forwards and the team played well in the return leg v Lille! Let's see what happens tomorrow v Luzern...
