If people are still wondering why an agent would advise Julian to play for the US over Germany, they should stop.

I have never seen this angle of his WC goal (apologies for this in his club thread)

ESPN3 has the "coach's tape" footage for all WC matches ... which is roughly the same angle as here.

It took Julian Green ONE shift to show why he was brought along to the World Cup.

Right. I get that. Its just funny because few if any other young new players ever see such hype.

It's also less funny because few, if any, teenagers score on their first touch in their first appearance in a first team senior match. Even fewer do so in extra time of a World Cup.

I get your point. Just having a little fun. I don't think your lady bits are typically sandy ones, but just in case you were a bit gritty today, I thought I'd clear it up before any inflammation occurred.

Yeah, Bayern are really milking him for all he's worth. I mean "Julian Green commens on the growth of soccer in the US"? I'd hazard he hasn't seen one MLS game in his life.

Like I said, Bayern really want that American star, it's the only way they can catch up to the big EPL clubs.

Freddy Adu. People always beat up on the English on these boards, but the American fans are actually much worse than them when it comes to hyping up youth players . (which is not to say that Green wont become a decent pro).

Americans are far too gung-ho on all US prospects .. and all US teams (unless they are coached by a fer'ner, naturally).

By contrast, recall our German speaking posters dour attitude on Jogi "I've never won anything in my life" Löw before the World Cup. I am sure the best they were hoping for was a respectable showing against the host nation in the semifinal.

Also to be seen by the statements of "it's the group of death because we're in it" and "we even cant be doing well in this WC due to bad prep, the injuries(Reus, Benders etc), Löw, important players unfit, Lahm playing DM etc".

But, superstar Green or not.... my dear American friends, don't let yourself be fooled. Bayern was, is and will always be pure evil.

An 1860 fan and Dortmund fan telling us Bayern is evil.

The EPL could learn a thing or 2. Everton/Fulham of the past decade should have done the same.

Its an All-Star game, you give the fans what they want. And we want to see Julian Green. Back in 1998, the NBA didn't shy away from Kobe Bryant for Vin Baker and Mitch Richmond. They went with what the fans wanted to see. And every year they showcase young talent. So I don't see a problem with Green everywhere
