If the Dodgers had done this, maybe Brian Stowe would still be able to wipe his own ass. PS. I want cops to keep the drunk drivers of the roads.
Don't forget about the trains that run by outside the other end of The Epicenter. While they won't be visible to those playing and/or watching inside The Ep, they certainly will to those marching down Earthquakes Way and the other surrounding streets. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
FYI, I beat Seattle 4 out of 5 games on FIFA 14 today with a 4-2-3-Wondo. Hopefully this is a good thing.
They didn't have MPG on the roster. It was JBP+Cronin in front on the back four, with Salinas, Djalo, and Cato lined up under Wondo.
I was kidding of course. If he's on FIFA '14 but still no announcement, the FO has a real serious issue with making announcements :--). Cato instead of Harris - good. Gotta go Smurf... [strike]Bash[/strike] -> Smurfs
In that same vein, here's what the crowd will probably look like when the game gets out: And on the streets afterwards -- well, it will be dark, but otherwise it will look like this: These poor guys got caught by the secret police:
http://www.vta.org/News-and-Media/C...bassadors-Are-Ready-to-Shine-at-Levis-Stadium At least the VTA are aware there's a game on... though no mention of increased service which is key. Unless one of their smiley ambassadors want to carry me back downtown on their backs. I'm going to presume they're not that stupid and will have extra services on for it. Please for the love of God don't be that stupid.
Any organized tailgating, or are we just winging this mother****er? Not about to drag two five year olds on public transit from Oakland so driving the big ass van down. Pray for me.
Good luck. I'm not tailgating, but I think many of the old Club Quake crowd will be in parking lot Red 3, per http://sjcasbah.org/?p=43.
I'm thinking the same thing, but be advised that they are closing down part of the San Tomas trail. I'm not sure how much yet, but I'm quite sure it will be from Agnew road on the south side. It's possible they'll close it at Great America parkway on the north side, although I'm just speculating on that. The 'bicycling' tab on the website said you'll have to loop around to the train station and come out essentially at the Golf Course entrance. The good news is that they have valet parking lots for bikes!
Mother of God this sounds awful...that being said I wouldn't miss it. Based on how long it will take to get out of this hell hole...any one ready for a post game tail gate breakfast?
Any word on if the Sounders are still trying to defiantly refuse to come down? Any word on how the Ultras are taking this game? Because we have NBCSN and the local press for this one.
I think it was just the ECS who said they didn't want to come down. My guess is that there will be a number of individual fans that make the trip.
I told my son that the police would be disguised as Seattle fans, and he was pretty outraged that our local law enforcement agents would be investing money in Seattle gear. Good point! (Maybe they get it for free?!?)
Agreed on both points, and it's probably why they are doing it. Does not make me want to go to an NFL game. Ever.
"Fan Guide: Quakes host Sounders for first-ever event at Levi's® Stadium" (SJEarthquakes.com - Thursday, 7/31/14) GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Did anyone get their tickets in the mail? I don't seem to have mine. What does the envelope look like? When I talked to a quakes rep, the first thing they asked me was if I received mine yet, so I think many people must not be getting them. He told me I have to go to the ticket office at Levi's on game day to get them printed out. Open's at 10am. So lucky me, I'll probably make two trips there so I don't have to fight the crowds waiting in that line just before the game starts.
