Up Next, Columbus: The MetroStars return home this Sunday when they host the Columbus Crew at 6 p.m. ET (Spanish Radio: WADO 1280 AM). The game will mark the first time Clifton, N.J. native Danny Szetela returns home with the Crew to play at Giants Stadium. In the first game of the season, two Mark Lisi assists helped the "Red and Black" to a 3-1 victory in Columbus on April 3. The game will not be broadcast on television.

Come out to the game folks! Join the ESC in section 101 as we will the Metro on to victory! No reason to not go!

Out of curiosity, why is the game not being televised? I looked up the schedule for MSG and FSNY on Sunday. MSG is showing Canadian Football and FSNY is showing Darts! I will be at the game so it makes no difference to me, but I just wondered why the Metrostars can't displace Canadian Football or darts?

I just checked D* and the game IS on DirectKick (presumably the Columbus feed), Channel 794 @ 6PM Sunday. Given the rather unique no-blackout situation with these games I would hope (expect) to be able to catch it that way.

If anyone more knowledgeable has further info we'd all appreciate it.

Why is the game starting at 6:00? Is there something going on after the game?

Well after a bit of a layoff (got married), I'll be there and bringing 4 friends. Hope they put up a better preformance than the last two games.

Prediction. 2-1 Metros in typical nailbiter fashion.

PS: I'm bummed about no TV coverage. I like to watch the TiVo'd game the next day when I'm a bit more sober to catch things I might have missed. Upstaged by Canadian Football? Tell me it's at least their regular season not pre-season. :)

Magee now on the "questionable" list after missing last week's match.

I think it will be as entertaining as the Galaxy home match a few weeks ago with a 2-1 Metros win over the Crewd.

I am not worried at all.

Pope and Magee likely out; Kenny's in, I'd wager, but what about Brenes?
Will we see him as a sub or will he start instead of Vaca?

In the Daily News today, I swear it said MSG was broadcasting the game. Doesn't matter too much to me, since we'll be there

That's today's schedule. Of course, tomorrow's MSG schedule says Canadian football will be televised, not the Metros.

At the same time, MetroStars.com says the game is on MSG.

I guess if you want to be sure of seeing the game, go to the stadium.

How's the traffic been coming back to NY from the Meadowlands on Sunday nights?

Edit: disregard the above, I totally misread MetroStars.com - it says there will be no TV for this game.

Tomorrow's game is not going to be on MSG. If you have the Direct Kick package, your best bet is to check channels 793-797 at 6pm. The game will be broacasted through UPN, some channel from Columbus.

By the way, there isn't going to be a Metro Soccer Report on 9/2 due to the convention.

All this means is that Metro fans have no excuse not to come to the game. And forget about the traffic getting backed up on the GWB and tunnels...... just chill at the Vince Lombardi rest stop with me. :)

Not quote team news, but I will be brining my crappy ass banner to the game on Sunday. It looks like crap, but then again I did it. Anyone got some suggestions on the best way to hang it up on the railings? In addition, the best way to make hole rings in the banner that won't rip it? thanx....

Don't forget my 30% contribution on the banner. That's where the masterpiece is. Can't help if I'm artistically gifted.
