I think giving players a chance is a fair understanding, but being a fan and watching a group of players for years, it really does frustrate you that we can't just move on and improve the shit we have! I can't stand to watch another season with the likes of Fellaini, Young, Valencia and Cleverly!

Meh, we are not in the CL. It wont be a disaster. We'll have Ander, Cleverley, Fletcher + kids until Carrick comes back. As for Cleverley, I'm guessing he'll be thrown into focus, because this really is an opportunity for him to show LvG that he's pushing for a spot in the XI. He's got energy, ideas and technique, but he's in dire need of guidance. Blackett though has the most to gain of any of our players in preseason. Given our lack of depth at CB and LB he's the utility player, who can add depth to both positions. I think most important for him will be to show that he can play LCB, if he can do that capably, he'll be a first team regular through rotation and maybe even in with an outside chance of becoming starter. Our 'marking' backs will help themselves and our team out if they are energetic. It may mean that Jones won't play much centrally and Smalling, who has height, but also great pace and range, may get the nod in the central berth IF he can get his head on straight.
Too thin for me. We already have Carrick out for some time and I don't think we will have him back in the starting 11 until the end of September.Fletcher's just back from a long lay off and I feel that its a little risky to rely on him. Too few bodies for me. As for kids, I was surprised we didn't take Pearson on tour. Guess its too soon for him.
Only player to have gotten 0 minutes so far. Even the 4th goalkeeper has gotten minutes and Cheech who arrived late on tour.
Does anyone else feel that Carrick could be used as the 3rd Center back if we bring in another body in the midfield to play alongside Herrera?

I just came back from the Real-Inter game. Seeing Vida wearing the Inter kit was weird, and sad :-( I sang "he comes from Serbia, he'll..." as he was walking into the tunnel (was pretty close https://vine.co/v/M0dDbF36bdZ) but he didn't really care!
