May happen by then. The gap will no doubt narrow as the room for MLS growth is so much greater but ManU, et. al., aren’t going to stand still. As long as MLS continues to improve and I continue to enjoy the game I’m fine with it and these annual reminders of the talent/wealth gap.
The only thing I’m upset about is it’s the 60th minute and Keane is still on the pitch. I know he’s the captain, but come on.
Since we've been cautioned by some not to draw any conclusions about our team based on this game....why are so many willing to draw conclusions about LD based on this game?
@JSB_FOX: Spoke with Galaxy coach Bruce Arena at the half. Says Landon Donovan will get some playing time tonight. It could just be Wynalda being...Wynalda.
The problem is that it's Eric. I'm hunting around trying to see if any LA Galaxy channel stated anything. I see nothing. EDIT: Are these announcers kidding me? Landon has been subbed on as a sub in a friendly before. What are these guys smoking?
I’m not watching the Fox feed. I’m watching the Man United TV feed and it’s been stated several times on the evening from multiple people. I have no idea if their information is accurate or where they got it, but they’ve no agenda like Wynalda.
Ah, got it. What you're missing by watching the feed is Wynalda once again throwing LD under the bus. For like 10 minutes. EDIT: And it could be they just assumed once they saw he wasn't in the starting line up. I checked LA Galaxy Insider and Galaxy Podcast and I see nothing.
And the rookies showing their rookieness. * Loved the ignorance on Wynalda's part. You can tell how much hatred he has toward Landon.
I was talking specifically about posters in here, not having anything to do with what commentators are saying. Of course they are going to say something - it's their job in selling this game. I'm talking about some posting how we can't really draw conclusions of our play or the results based on this game; so why are we so willing to draw conclusions about LD's "benching" or attitude or whatever. doesn't seem like apples and oranges to me. Can't pick and choose what subject we'll draw conclusions about and which ones we won't. Edit to add: but maybe I'm misreading what's been posted and the points people are making.
It could be this post that started things: Julie Stewart-Binks @JSB_FOX · 2h Landon Donovan not starting tonight. Unlikely he will come off the bench too. #LA Course, then Bruce trolled her by putting him in.
