To put it in perspective, Brasil gave up as many goals in these last two games as in the 2002, 2006, and 2010 WCs.... COMBINED.

TBH, I was just thinking about the field players, so you're right, we will never see that again.

The Dutch much better and there are some interesting young players in the squad. Could well have been playing in the final with better luck in the penalty shootout, but I'm happy it's Argentina.

Wouldn't surprise me if Brazil doesn't qualify to WC18 even, it's a new footballing world.

think colombia and chile might have lost to brazils shirt
you know, playing against brazil, the huge futbol superpower, in their own home, colombians specially sh***ed their pants, cause they certainly had the team to beat them.
And maybe Chiles ghost was all the times that brazil kicked them out of WC
Germany certainly wouldnt be afraid of brazil cause they have their huge historiy as well
And by the team netherlands got there, brazilian players were already too defeated and demoralized.

I just cant help to think that colombia and chile might have been much competitive semifinalists.

Scolari complaining (pathetically, as always) with the japanese referee just beside him.

Best image of the World Cup.

    Poetic justice, anyone?

I am happy we (Dutch) leave the WC like this to be honest.
Stated before this match shouldn't be played but right now just happy to see them play and win.
I feel sorry for the Brazilian supporters, with such a history this 2nd defeat is hard to bear.

I think it's a bit like when we see somebody dressed up in a police uniform, or a priest robe, (for example), and we treat them as we would treat a real cop or priest until we realize that they are not the real thing.

Well, teams were seeing these players dressed up in the Brazilian jersey and so they were playing them accordingly, until the Germans figured it out and exposed them.

I am happy for this game's outcome.

We have an once in a lifetime chance to actually implode CBF and modernize brazilian football.

    Let's do it. :)

Hulk was furious at the end there, probably because people were saying the 3rd place match didn't matter.
